How to order at Oseuseu

Oseuseu's QR code and paper ordering guide

There are two ways to order: scanning a QR code on your phone, or writing it down on the paper form on the menu!

What we ordered, and the side dishes served

We ordered four things: meat crumble & aged kimchi pasta ₩18,000, amatriciana ₩17,000, baguette 4pcs+ ₩2,000, and zero-sugar cola ₩3,000. ^^

On one side of the table, water and glasses were neatly set out. The glass bottle had a subtly sentimental feel, so the mood was already nice before the meal even started. ^^ Plates, forks, and spoons were also lined up and ready in advance. Together with the wood table, it all felt distinctly like Oseuseu's warm atmosphere.

Carrot and radish pickles served as a side dish with table setting

The default side dish was carrot & radish pickles, which came out — tangy and appetite-sharpening, good to nibble on between bites of pasta.

The two pastas we ordered arrived. They looked so delicious I got really excited. lol

Meat crumble & aged kimchi pasta, ₩18,000

Aged kimchi (묵은지) was served together with oil-based noodles. With finely minced meat mixed in too, it looked way heartier than a regular aglio e olio.

They gave us scissors and tongs to cut up the aged kimchi. After snipping the kimchi into bite-sized pieces, I twirled the noodles and took a bite with both the meat and kimchi at once! The savory, clean flavor typical of aglio e olio was joined by the tangy, refreshing kick of the aged kimchi, making it light and not at all greasy. ^^

The oil soaked into the noodles nicely, and eating it with the aged kimchi gave it a clean aglio-kimchi olio taste. There was minced meat in it too, so you could get a savory bite while chewing. lol

A glass of zero-sugar cola filled with ice

For drinks, we ordered a cold zero-sugar cola, and the ice-packed glass gave a nice sharp refreshment. After the aged kimchi pasta, a gulp of zero cola — ahh~~!! It cleaned my palate so refreshingly. lol

Woo samgyeop amatriciana, ₩17,000

Woo samgyeop (thinly sliced beef belly) amatriciana came with a generous amount of spicy tomato sauce and a hearty pile of woo samgyeop on top. Just looking at it, you could tell the sauce would be rich and deep.

I twirled the noodles in tomato sauce along with the beef and took a bite! Eating the noodles and meat together made the combination even better >.<♥

I was eating it neatly like the photo above, but it was so good I suddenly just dug in like this. lol lol The noodles heavily coated in tomato sauce, eaten with the woo samgyeop, combined the spicy-tangy sauce with the beef's clean, savory flavor really well. So good♥

Baguette, 4 pcs+ for ₩2,000: dipping it in the sauce

Four golden, sliced pieces of baguette

The baguette 4pcs we ordered arrived. It came out golden-brown and sliced into easy-to-eat pieces, and just thinking about dipping it into the pasta sauce made my mouth water. lol

Crispy outside, moist and chewy inside! Loaded with amatriciana sauce, the tangy tomato flavor and umami made it way better than eating it plain. It's a mild, clean baguette that's great for dipping in sauce, so it paired perfectly with the pasta >.<♥

A piece of baguette dipped in sauce alone

I also tried the baguette dipped in just the sauce alone, without any meat or vegetables — the sauce's own flavor came through more clearly, and its gentle spiciness went well with the baguette's mild taste as a nice finishing bite. Overall, it was such a delicious meal~ haha♥

What I liked about Oseuseu

Notice for Oseuseu's N-receipt event drink giveaway
Oseuseu, Sinneup-dong, Pocheon — what we liked (1)

I liked that they run an N-receipt event, giving away a cola or Sprite. ^^

After the meal, when the automatic door at the entrance opened, there was a mirror right on the wall in front of it — it felt refreshingly thoughtful and I really liked it! I could check my face before heading out. haha

They also had group seating set up, along with kids' tableware and chairs, so it seemed like a good place for family gatherings too. When I asked, they said venue rental for events is also possible. ^^

View of a chef visible through the glass near Oseuseu's kitchen

Oseuseu's overall atmosphere is comfortable and cozy for a restaurant, and beyond the mood set by the projector, it was nice being able to see the chefs cooking through the glass window. ^^

Would I come back to Oseuseu for brunch?

Oseuseu's outdoor signage
Oseuseu, Sinneup-dong, Pocheon — outdoor sign

Oseuseu was a good spot in Pocheon for a quiet, comfortable brunch — the space itself felt cozy, making it good for a relaxed meal and conversation, and the food leaned less on loud, punchy flavors and more on the combination of ingredients and the sauce's depth. In particular, the pasta with meat crumble and aged kimchi was a familiar yet unusual combination that stood out, and adding the amatriciana and baguette made it a satisfying meal for two!

It's a place I'd think of again on a day I want pasta or Western food in Pocheon with a good atmosphere, and I'd recommend it to couples dating in Pocheon or anyone looking for a Western restaurant with a nice mood and Korean-inflected flavors!>.<♥
