Deciding against the perm didn't mean it was just hair care and nothing else. She gave me a layered cut so that even with straight hair, my current hair would still look good, and designed bangs to fit my face shape.

The Morita clinic treatment I got took about 1 hour and 20 minutes total.

As I remember it, step 1 was a cream type, step 2 was a spray type, and step 3 was cream type again, applied in that order.

First, the clinic product was applied to the hair, followed by a steam treatment to help it absorb well.

She checked the condition of my hair along the way as she moved through steps 1, 2, and 3, layering each stage.

At the end, she finished with heat treatment and smoothed the surface of the hair. The moment I touched my hair, I was surprised at how soft it felt, and even now, about two weeks later, it still feels soft to the touch, and I notice less tangling and less shedding when I wash it.

I used to think that if hair got damaged, you could just cut it off or get a new treatment done. But after seeing how badly my hair had actually deteriorated this time, I realized how important the basics are. As the director suggested, I'm going to keep up consistent care for about two months and then decide on my next treatment based on how my hair looks then.

Since the treatment took about 1 hour and 20 minutes, I could have gotten thirsty or bored in the middle — but the director had an iced americano and snacks ready for me.

There was even a wireless charger set up, so I could charge my phone and pass the time comfortably.

She gave me a leave-in treatment as a complimentary gift, and since I was already getting the clinic treatment, I wanted my hair to recover quickly, so I bought a large-size one too.

I put off the perm this time, but once my hair is a bit healthier, I plan to consult with the director again and find the style that suits me.
