Magok Italian restaurant Dracula theme menu dinner: Romaok Magok

Today I visited the Magok branch of Romaok, located inside LG Art Center in Magok. I'm deep into musicals these days haha, so I'm busy scouting dinner spots to hit before shows!

Where Romaok Magok is and how to book a table

Romaok, a Magok favorite, sits on the 3rd floor of LG Art Center. The location is unbeatable — perfect for dinner before catching a musical. I went on a Monday, so it was quiet and lovely haha. Naver reservations are available, so definitely book ahead!

They also showed us the menu briefly before we were seated~

We were shown to a window-side table, but since the sun was still strong, the curtains were drawn.

But around 6:30, they opened the curtains for us!! And we got to enjoy this beautiful view haha.

If the weather cools down just a little more, eating outside here would be amazing too. It's a space where you can take in a full view of Magok~

Ordering from the musical Dracula theme menu

The musical Dracula is currently running at LG Art Center, so there's a related discount event going on, plus some menu items have been changed to fit the Dracula theme haha. After a ton of deliberation...

• Beef ragu fresh-pasta lazagna roll

This is what I ordered!

While waiting for the food, I made sure to properly take in the interior of Romaok Magok, which fits the musical theme so well~

Pre-meal bread at Romaok Magok

They served pre-meal bread, and it was so fluffy and warm it must have just come out of the oven haha. It paired so well with the sauce that even though it's just an appetizer, I ate it like it was the main dish, haha. Appetite: successfully whetted!

And then the dishes arrived together! Since I'm deep into musicals right now, I loved the coffin-shaped design on top of the risotto haha.

Here's how it's plated — it's nice to add the tomato garnish on top into the risotto as you eat!

Visually, extremely satisfying... but one drawback. Since it's squid ink risotto, you really need to watch your mouth while eating haha. Otherwise you end up looking like Dracula after drinking black blood ^__^

And then the beef lazagna roll too haha.

They told us to cut the roll into bite-sized pieces and dip it in the sauce that came with it.

This lazagna-and-risotto combo was really great — the sweet-and-savory pairing was insane haha. Alternating bites kept it from getting heavy or repetitive at all — best combo!

This is how I cut and ate the lazagna haha. Having always eaten flat lazagna, eating this round-shaped version made cutting and chewing it kind of fun too~

I scooped the risotto out like this~~ I scraped the bowl so clean that I edited the photo to black and white haha.

Why Romaok Magok works for dinner before an LG Art Center show

That's the end of a lovely dinner at the atmospheric Magok favorite, Romaok! Since it's located inside LG Art Center, it's great to visit before catching a musical, and office workers nearby could easily go for both lunch and dinner. It's such an emotive space that I'd also recommend it for an anniversary date haha. Strongly recommending Romaok's Magok branch!
