A Friday night dinner in Yeongcheon-dong

Hi everyone! 😊 After another tough week, I went out to eat something delicious and nourishing to properly kick off Friday night. After working hard all week, you just want good food in the evening to shake off the fatigue, right?

And meat is one of those menus that's both filling and great to eat while chatting with whoever you're with. 🥩💕 This time I visited Jipbul Taebaek Dongtan Flagship Branch!

I was looking for a BBQ restaurant in Dongtan and ended up here — I liked the atmosphere, and the fact that they grill the uadae galbi for you.

I arrived at Jipbul Taebaek Dongtan Flagship Branch! There was parking space right in front, so I parked easily and went in. 🚘

Parking availability and conditions may change depending on when you visit, so it's worth checking before you go. There was also a nicely decorated exterior in front of the restaurant, which I checked out before heading in. ✨

We went inside Jipbul Taebaek Dongtan Flagship Branch and took our seats! Even though it was still before the main dinner rush, there were already quite a few people inside. The interior was just as nicely decorated as the outside.

After some deliberation, we ordered uadae galbi for two! 🥩🔥 I'd only had uadae galbi once before, so I was really looking forward to it, haha. They also had all kinds of alcohol on the menu! 🍻

Great for anyone looking for soju, beer, or other drinks to pair with their meat.

By the way, there was also an event where writing a receipt review gets you a guacamole tortilla worth ₩9,000.

It seemed like it would go well with the meat, so definitely give it a try!

What side dishes come with the beef ribs?

After we ordered, they set up the side dishes first. I loved how varied and generous the banchan spread was! 😍

It was great being able to pair the meat with so many different side dishes. There was also a variety of condiments, like wasabi and salt.

Finally, the main dish we'd been waiting for — the uadae galbi — started grilling! 🥩🔥 Along with the meat, they also grilled king oyster mushrooms, bracken fern and kimchi.

Having it grilled for us made it even more delicious 😊

Once the meat was fully grilled, they placed it on top of the uadae galbi bone!

Finishing with a cheonggukjang stew

While eating the meat, we started craving a warm stew too, so we ordered a cheonggukjang stew on top! 🍲

The meat alone was delicious, but pairing it with rice and stew made for an even more filling meal, haha.

Worth it as a Dongtan date-night restaurant
