Gangnam restaurant for jambon risotto and gnocchi combo: Brivit

Okay everyone, this is already my third visit here. At this point aren't I basically a regular? Yes. I am. (proudly)

A lot of you are probably wondering where to go for pasta near Gangnam Station for a blind date or a wedding-invite gathering, and I always just settle it with this one place. Because from location to taste, nothing is missing. Let's go.

A location that works no matter where you're meeting from

Brivit is between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, near that area packed with pretty cafés, so meeting near Gangnam CGV? Total gold-star location. Whether you're coming from Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon, it's easy to reach, so you don't even have to think about the route when making plans. (Also perfect if you want to stop by Zara in Gangnam.)

Plus there are pretty cafés everywhere nearby, so it's perfect to head straight to a café after eating. That's why Brivit is always the first place I think of when planning a blind date or a wedding-invite gathering.

You won't find value like this elsewhere in Gangnam

The menu has a nice range — steak, gnocchi, pasta, risotto — and the prices are genuinely kind. Gnocchi, pasta, and risotto sit in the ₩10,000s, and even the steak is in the ₩30,000s, which feels almost too good to be true smack in the middle of Gangnam.

Worried that a Western food place in Gangnam, of all pricey places, would be expensive? With Brivit, you can enjoy delicious Western food at amazing value, haha.

Plating that outdoes the price

But what's even more surprising is the visual quality for the price. The plating is so pretty you end up taking photos first, and it's a place that nails both value and looks, so it's perfect for a blind date where first impressions matter, and for a wedding-invite gathering where everyone wants to take group photos.

For reference, I actually came here with my boyfriend early in our relationship, and even afterward, throughout our relationship, he kept saying he wanted to come back to Brivit — that's how memorable the taste and visuals were!!

What a three-time visitor orders

If I've come three times, that says it all, right? It's delicious. Really.

Pickles and water are self-serve, and my friend and I ordered three things: spicy jambon risotto, porcini shrimp gnocchi, and Greek yogurt salad. (We nearly burst eating it between two people.)

Greek yogurt salad

I'm usually not a fan of Greek yogurt, but this one had something — burrata or ricotta, not sure which — that gave it a sweet, tangy flavor that was genuinely delicious. The cherry tomatoes even came peeled, so they were perfect for eating in one bite!!

Spicy jambon risotto

The spicy jambon risotto comes with pistachios, jambon beurre ham, and Greek yogurt on the side, and it's tasty whether you mix it all together or eat each part separately.

I genuinely think this is the kick menu item. Western food can get heavy after a while, but this dish keeps you from getting sick of it, so you can eat it deliciously all the way through.

Porcini shrimp gnocchi

The porcini shrimp gnocchi comes with about five big, hearty shrimp, and the gnocchi has a chewy texture that's fun to eat, plus the sauce is so smooth it just slides right in.

Even my friend, who's picky, kept eating it saying it was so good, which made me proud too, haha.

What's the interior vibe like?

The interior is decorated with a cozy, American-house kind of feel, so it works great for a blind date, a wedding-invite gathering, or just a regular date.

Make sure to reserve before you go

If you're stuck deciding on a pasta place near Gangnam Station for a blind date or wedding-invite gathering, I recommend Brivit without hesitation. But!! Too many people already know about this great place, so during meal hours, I really recommend making a Naver reservation before visiting!!! Even when I went, there was a wait and every seat was packed!! Naver reservations are available, so make sure to check!

Every time I come, the people I'm with compliment it and we end up scraping the plates clean! Three visits, three times fully satisfied — that says it all, right? You should all go at least once too!
