You can park in the WesternDom parking lot, and it is free for four hours.

Nail salons are usually on the small side, right? The kind with just two or three stations.

But Nail & Style Leplus Ilsan WesternDom Branch (네일앤스타일 레푸스 일산웨돔점) stretches far into the back, with the space divided into sections. There are around four nail stations, and there is plenty of room between each one!

Trophies from competitions are displayed by the entrance, and there is even a sink where you can wash your hands. Nail & Style definitely does not have that typically cluttered nail-salon feeling! It might be one of the Ilsan nail salons that gets both size and atmosphere right!

Nail & Style has been in business since 2007. That makes it nearly 20 years!

And its hygiene system is thorough 👍 Apparently, it has operated a six-step sterilization system since before COVID. Metal tools are used after six-step sterilization, while every other tool comes in a disposable kit!

Honestly, hygiene is what I worry about most when going to a nail salon. Some places share tools, too. Be sure to check this when you are getting wedding nails in Ilsan before an important day! There is no easy fix if your hands get damaged.

Booking signature art and the appointment process

For a signature design, you choose from designs that incorporate each designer's know-how. They have magnetic nails, powder nails, syrup nails, and all the trendy styles too!

Of course, you need to see the artist who created that signature design for the promotional price to apply. If you ask another artist for the same design, you will be charged the regular price instead, so make sure to check when booking!!

I saw the artist in charge! 💕 I chose the ₩89,000 signature art, and it took about an hour and a half! I was about to travel abroad, so I originally wanted to go all out, but I got off work late and arrived 20 minutes behind schedule. I could only do something basic, which was such a shameㅠㅠ

Anyway! Since I came in with my gel already removed, she first shaped my nails! She asked whether I had a shape in mind, then used a file to set the length and shape.

Next came cuticle care: cuticle remover was applied, the cuticles were softened and pushed back, then trimmed with nippers! This can be the most painful part, but I did not feel even one sting. Her nipper work was truly delicate 👍

And the removal was so clean! Everything was tidied away with nothing left behind, so my nail line really came alive! This was the first time I realized just how much difference the before and after can make! (I am someone who had been getting nails done without cuticle removal haha.) Once it was finished, she lightly buffed the surface so the gel would adhere well! I think the prep before the art must be harder than doing the art itself; hahaha

Then she brushed away the dust with a toothbrush and applied primer? It made me realize once again just how messy all my DIY nails had been;

Then it was base gel and curing, color and curing, repeated several times!

She added the art on top and finished with top gel, and she worked incredibly fast hahaha. But I had been wearing nails for too long, so my nails were already quite damaged.

On top of that, because a thick layer of clear top gel was applied, perhaps because the LED machine was so good, my nails felt hot every time they went under the LED light. Ahhh. You have to endure pain to be pretty haha hahaha.

🧡I am genuinely so happy with the result!!🧡 It is subtly sparkly, clearly professional-quality, and so neat from the cuticles to the nail work that it makes me happy every time I look at it hahaha. So I keep staring at my hands... actually, even while typing this, I am only looking at my hands... hahaha

A separate foot-care room and pedicure area

This is what makes the place a little special: it has a separate foot-care room. It collaborates with Leplus, a German specialist foot-care company! There is a dedicated room for people with ingrown nails, people who need nail care, and people receiving foot treatments!

There are separate pedicure chairs, too. Two Queen Spa chairs sit side by side, and curtains divide the space! Lots of people feel self-conscious about showing their feet, right? But having a separate area here makes that less of a concern 👍

There is also a space where you can take photos after your appointment. It feels like a tiny photo studio! There is white fabric on the floor, two lights, and a ring light, too!

When you take photos at home after getting your nails done, the color does not come through because of the lighting. But here, they come out exactly as they look! 👍 This will be really useful for anyone getting wedding nails in Ilsan. Regular signature art starts at ₩69,000, so that option is more than enough too. There is no extra charge for French tips or gradients! If you will go often, a membership is better. When you spend ₩50,000 to ₩60,000 at a time, ₩300,000 adds up quickly within a year hahaha.

And something called Repair Shield has just come out. It is recommended for people whose fingernails or toenails have become thick or crack easily! The regular price is ₩30,000, or an additional ₩20,000 when done with gel! My nails crack easily too, so I am planning to try it next time.
