Looking for sushi in Pyeongtaek, I found Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, and the beef tartare-salmon gunkan was amazing 🍣
Today I'm writing about Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, which I visited when I wanted sushi near Pyeongtaek Station!

Honestly, at conveyor-belt sushi places, the plate colors mean different prices, so you're always a bit anxious while eating, right?

But at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, every plate is a flat ₩2,100, so I could set aside price worries and just pick whatever I wanted. 😋 Above all, the variety was way bigger than I expected, so it was fun picking this and that.

Where is Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch? Hours and parking
Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch is at 27 Pyeongtaek 2-ro, 1st floor, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it's open daily from 11:30 to 21:30. Break time is 15:00–17:00, and last order is 21:00.
There's no parking support, so Jaran public parking lot is about a 3-minute walk from the restaurant. Something to keep in mind if you're driving.
The restrooms are inside the restaurant and separated by gender, which was convenient. And the yellow sign catches your eye right from the entrance! It even has a sushi bowl shape, so you can spot Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch from far away. In particular, "all plates ₩2,100" is written in big letters outside, so it was easy to walk in without price worries.

A sushi place with hair ties and blankets on hand... you could feel the owner's thoughtfulness, which made me even more excited! haha
The long sushi conveyor belt at Mikado Sushi
The moment I walked into Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, the first thing that caught my eye was the long conveyor belt. Sushi kept circling around the rail, and even at a glance, there was clearly a huge variety.
From whitefish, salmon, tuna, shrimp, and eel to basics, plus beef tartare, gunkan, rolls, and grilled dishes, there was a lot to choose from depending on your taste.

Whenever I go to conveyor-belt sushi places, I start by picking up one plate at a time, and then at some point the fun of watching the stack grow kicks in lol. This time, of course... with two of us eating, the plates piled up quite a bit before we knew it. 😂
Drinks 3,900 won, draft beer 2,900 won
The drink prices at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch were really cheap too. Something I personally found surprising!

There was a sign in the restaurant that said "We focus on the sushi and cut the drink prices way down," and sure enough, all alcohol is ₩3,900, and draft beer 400cc is a whopping ₩2,900. These days a single draft beer at many restaurants costs a fair amount, so ₩2,900 felt genuinely low-pressure. Good for anyone who wants a light draft beer alongside their sushi. 🍺
Five custom sauces to mix yourself
On the table, there were also five custom sauces to enjoy with the sushi. Not just whitefish or salmon — you could pair different sauces with grilled or fried items too, so it was fun trying different combinations. Even the same piece of sushi tasted a bit different depending on the sauce, which was nice since you could adjust it to your taste.

The rakkyo (pickled shallots) is on the table, so just help yourself whenever you want some!
How many kinds of sushi are on the belt?
Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch really had a huge variety of sushi. Soy sauce shrimp, seasoned shrimp, red king shrimp, swordfish belly, beef tartare sashimi, soy-marinated salmon, flounder, arrow squid, salmon, sailfin sandfish, flounder fin, sea bream, sweet shrimp, octopus, cuttlefish, scallop, and conch — all sorts were on offer.

And that wasn't even the end of it.

There was also freshwater eel, beef tartare, sea eel, and grilled beef, plus a bunch of more unusual items like bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp, bacon egg rolls, salmon garlic gunkan, ricotta cheese salmon, flying fish roe gunkan, crab mayo gunkan, tuna maki, and octopus wasabi. The gunkan and hand roll varieties in particular were so varied that mixing them in with regular sushi kept things from getting boring. Best of all, every single one of these was also ₩2,100 — probably the biggest advantage here.
Ordering by QR code at the table

On this visit, the tables also had a QR ordering system installed. If the sushi you wanted wasn't on the belt, or you wanted to order more, you could order via the QR code at your table without having to call a staff member.

Personally, I found this way of ordering convenient.

Constantly calling over a staff member can feel a little awkward sometimes, so being able to order right from your seat was really easy to use.
Udon and ramen at a sushi restaurant, also 2,100 won
Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch also sells noodle dishes like udon, ramen, and buckwheat noodles at the same flat ₩2,100 price. This part was surprisingly satisfying.
There's always that moment in the middle of eating sushi when you crave a warm bowl of soup. But if you order a full-size bowl of udon, you might not have room left for more sushi — here, though, the portions were sized perfectly for pairing with sushi.
We ordered udon and ramen. 🍜 The udon broth was rich and warm, great for eating between sushi bites. The ramen had meat in it too, and the quality was better than expected, which surprised me. Instead of eating sushi nonstop, adding a noodle dish like this let us enjoy a much wider variety.
22 plates for two: beef tartare salmon gunkan was the best
How much we ate that day at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch... a whopping 22 plates lol

Between the two of us, we tried all sorts of things — flounder, soy sauce shrimp, salmon, tuna belly, beef tartare, live fish aged kimchi, flounder fin, beef tartare-salmon gunkan, ankimo sweet shrimp hand roll, and more.

Looking back at the photos, we really ate a lot. 😂 Of everything, the dish I enjoyed most was the "beef tartare-salmon gunkan"!

This one really stuck with me. It's beef tartare wrapped in salmon, and eating it in one bite, you get the rich, savory taste of the tartare together with the soft taste of the salmon.

If you like beef tartare and salmon, I really recommend trying this at least once. Of everything I ate that day, this was the best. 👍
Fish origin labelling: how fresh is the sushi?

Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch also runs a live-fish origin disclosure system. They post information about where each live fish came from, so as someone eating the sushi, it felt a bit more reassuring. Trying a variety of dishes at a conveyor-belt sushi place is great, but in the end freshness matters most, and I thought it was good that they show this transparently.
Is Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station worth it? Final verdict
This time at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, two of us ate 22 plates. What I liked most was, again, the "all plates ₩2,100" pricing! Since the price is uniform, you don't have to check plate colors one by one, and you can just comfortably pick whatever sushi you want to try.
There was also a huge variety of sushi, from the basics to beef tartare, eel, gunkan, hand rolls, and rolls, plus noodle dishes like udon and ramen. Above all, the beef tartare-salmon gunkan was really delicious. 😋 If you like the combination of beef tartare and salmon, you have to try this!
If you're near Pyeongtaek Station and want to eat a variety of sushi without breaking the bank, or you're looking for a Pyeongtaek sushi restaurant where you and a friend or partner can pick and choose all sorts of dishes, this is a place worth visiting at least once. 🍣 Especially with the flat ₩2,100 pricing, it's a great fit for anyone who wants to sample lots of different menu items.
