Pyeongtaek lawn café with outdoor seats and scones: Sisup

Sisup — a café with such a wide lawn it feels like a mini retreat.

The weather's been so nice lately that I went looking for a large Pyeongtaek café worth a drive, and ended up at Sisup haha.

Where Sisup is, opening hours and parking

Sisup is on the 1st floor at 680 Hyeondeok-ro, Hyeondeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Head toward the Pyeongtaek International Bridge for 500m, turn left at the first traffic light, then immediately right — it's on your right.

• Hours: Saturdays and Sundays 10:00–19:00, last order 18:30
• Currently open weekends only due to internal circumstances
• Parking: spacious private lot, very convenient

The lawn at Sisup, a large Pyeongtaek café

Sisup is a standalone building with a wide lawn out front. The landscaping is so well done that my eyes felt refreshed the moment I walked in 🌿

The indoor space is quite spacious too. There were various types of seating and one room. It'd be great for big family gatherings. Sit by the window and you get the whole yard in view — the view alone makes it worth visiting.

There were two baby high chairs by the window too, so it's a good Pyeongtaek café to bring a baby to. Just note dogs aren't allowed indoors.

There were many types of outdoor seating — perfect for relaxing on a nice day! If you're bringing a dog, make sure to bring a leash and waste bags. The lawn is wide and well maintained, so it'd make a solid dog-friendly café in Pyeongtaek too.

Sisup menu prices and what four of us ordered

True to a large Pyeongtaek café, the menu was varied — coffee, non-coffee drinks, handmade syrups and teas, and desserts, all ordered via kiosk. The four of us ordered:

• 3 iced americanos, ₩5,800 each
• 1 decaf iced handmade vanilla bean latte, ₩8,500
• 1 handmade jujube tea, ₩10,000
• 1 plain scone, ₩4,300
• 1 chocolate chip scone, ₩4,800

We heard the handmade jujube tea was famous here, so we were curious and ordered it too.

How the drinks and scones at Sisup tasted

We sat outdoors at Sisup. Surrounded by trees, the air was fresh and quiet — perfect for chatting :)

The iced americano hits you with bean aroma from the first sip. Heavy body came before any acidity, and the finish was clean, not bitter or lingering.

The decaf handmade vanilla bean latte blended rich milky sweetness with a strong vanilla bean aroma. The milk ratio was just right, so it didn't get watery even as the ice melted, and the sweetness never went overboard.

The handmade jujube tea came loaded with nut and jujube toppings. Scooped with a spoon, it had a thick texture, like a strong misugaru (grain powder drink).

The first bite brought jujube's subtle sweetness, followed by cinnamon. Every chew turned up bits of pine nuts and other nuts for a nice crunch 👍 It has a warming nature too, so it sat well in the stomach. And given the café's scale, the portion was generous — my dad finished the whole thing even after we'd already eaten a full meal haha. I think parents would love this if you bring them along :)

The plain scone came out warm. Crisp outside, soft and flaky inside. Spread with whipped cream and strawberry jam, it added a tangy-sweet note to the buttery flavor.

The chocolate chip scone was studded with chocolate chips in every bite. Not too sweet, and moister than the plain one. My husband said he liked this one better lol.

Outdoor A-frame cabin seats and shaded group tables

Outside, Sisup has a row of A-frame private-style seats, great for a bit of privacy, plus separate shaded group tables so you can pick according to your party size.

With such a wide lawn, kids were running around freely and quite a few people were walking their dogs — lots of families visiting. Note that it currently only operates on weekends, so if you're planning a weekday visit, it's safer to call ahead first.

With the jujube tea and scones rounding out the dessert lineup, I'd love to come back as a Pyeongtaek brunch café too. Overall, a visit with a lot to like.
