I stopped by Seonyudo Park and then went looking for a good beef daechang (grilled beef intestine) spot near Dangsan. The vibe felt clean and upscale, date-worthy even, but most of the actual guests were groups of 3-4 friends.
It had that word-of-mouth famous-restaurant feel, like everyone showed up together.
One bite in and I was thinking so — good ❤️😚❤️ Ate well and left happy! Great value too, definitely give it a try 😃

How to find Chodaechang from Dangsan Station
5 seconds on foot from Dangsan Station!
✔️ It's right between exits 11 and 12 — look up to the 2nd floor and you'll see the Chodaechang sign. There's an Olive Young directly below, and the Dangsan police substation next door, so it feels safe, plus there's stuff to browse if you arrive early. So — good.

Go in from the left side of the building and you'll find the sign and entrance below.

Head up to the 2nd floor and there's the doors open, this Dangsan Station favorite already in full swing.
Sunday 7pm: already full, 30 minutes of waiting
We came as a walk-in on a Sunday at 7pm, and even though the place seats about 40, every single table was packed!
Staff looked slammed, but the owner still noticed us and kindly came over. There was a wait, so they asked if we could come back in 30 minutes,
so we browsed Olive Young next door and the time flew by — came back 30 minutes later and exactly one table had opened up. This place is popular..
What's on the Chodaechang Dangsan Station menu?

First, Kirin draft — usually ₩6,900 to ₩10,000 elsewhere, so ₩5,900 here felt like a nice deal.

What two people ordered
- Hanwoo daechang gui 200g / ₩18,000
- Teuk-yang gui 130g / ₩21,000
- Doenjang sulbap / ₩7,000
- Kirin draft beer / ₩5,900

As soon as we were seated, the side dishes were already out. Loved how fast the staff moved.

The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the salad was sweet and rich — they paired really well together. Then the fire was ready!

Plump daechang and teukyang, grilled at your table
Here comes the plump daechang and teuk-yang.

The fat inside looked clean, which usually means it'll taste rich and nutty without any fishy edge..
Staff grill everything right at the table — watching the clean ingredients get checked and then cooked meant there was never a dull moment.

It looked gorgeous while cooking, but check out that smoke extractor.. no wonder the place felt so comfortable — it was clearly sucking up every bit of smoke before it could escape.

Cook, cook, grill, grill.

This is the daechang. It practically melts in your mouth together with the sauce — clean-smelling, rich-tasting — even people who don't usually like daechang will go whoa, this is good.

And this is the teuk-yang. That distinct chewy bounce without any toughness — delicious. There's a reason it's the pricier one.
Finishing with doenjang sulbap for 7,000 won
After all that grilled meat, we still ordered the doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice). Not because things felt greasy — I'm just someone who has to end every meal with rice..
I ordered it thinking ₩7,000 sounded like a fair deal, and compared to other places, it was genuinely excellent.

A deep, rich doenjang soup, loaded with tofu, zucchini, onion, and rice — I wolfed it down.

Is Chodaechang Dangsan Station worth the wait?
⭐️ Final thoughts ⭐️ The place is clean, no off smells, the side dishes are neat and the extras come out well!
With all the perks this place offers, the total for what's normally a pricey daechang meal ends up feeling like great value! Ah, I really want to go back. I'll go again and use every single perk.
+ Everyone was so kind!
