Pork belly bossam set for two by Dangsan Station Exit 13: Cheongun

In short

Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is a bossam (boiled pork belly) and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) Korean restaurant a 4-minute walk from Exit 13 of Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Two of us ordered the pork belly bossam and clam kalguksu set for 35,000 won, a tuna rice ball for 3,000 won and a drink for 2,000 won; the bossam was tender and clean-tasting, and the clam noodle broth was spicy, deep and addictive. For anyone arriving on foot, Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is a filling, easy dinner for two.

How was the pork belly bossam?

I liked that the food at Cheongun Bossam comes out fast haha. The pork belly bossam is tender yet clean and light, so you just keep reaching for more! Wrapped up with the radish salad and white kimchi that come with it, it's so good, ugh. I could eat it endlessly.

Clam kalguksu, the free noodle dish that comes with bossam

This is the clam kalguksu we picked as our free service item. It's loaded with quite a lot of clams! The broth was rich with a bit of a spicy kick, and honestly addictive!! Can someone please stop my chopsticks…?

Such a generous spread haha. Being able to enjoy both pork belly bossam and kalguksu together, the value here is really solid. It would also be a great place to bring your parents!

Adding a 3,000-won tuna rice ball

We ordered this rice ball to eat alongside the bossam and kalguksu. With tuna mayo and pickled radish inside, it was creamy with a nice bit of texture, and paired well with both the bossam and the noodles! I'm someone who absolutely needs carbs with a meal… hehe.

This is the clean and delicious pork belly bossam. You can wrap it in lettuce, pair it with radish kimchi, wrap it in white kimchi, or eat it with fresh kimchi — so many ways to enjoy it that you never get tired of it, right down to the last piece haha.

Clam kalguksu noodles timed with an hourglass

The clam kalguksu was addictive as ever. With clams inside, the broth is refreshing yet rich, and they even give you an hourglass to time exactly how long to cook the noodles! So the noodles come out perfectly cooked every time. It was so good that I scraped the bowl clean with my spoon, and my boyfriend asked if I'd been that hungry lol.

Is the 35,000-won set enough food for two?

Bite of bossam, bite of kalguksu, and before we knew it, everything was gone haha;; Cheongun Bossam, this Dangsan Station spot that was clean and satisfying to enjoy, was just the right amount for two people to eat well and get full! Honestly we were extra hungry that day so we ate pretty fast, ha.
