Ulsan pork BBQ restaurant with a hearty stew set: Biniljip

We finally went to Biniljip Suam Branch, the Suam-dong pork BBQ place my husband had been saying he wanted to try every time we passed Suam Market ☺️

A pork BBQ restaurant with an outdoor-stall vibe beside Suam Market

It is beside the road to Suam Market Public Parking Lot. We got there right at opening, so I could not take a photo of the pretty exterior with its lights on and borrowed this one instead. It looks so pretty lit up at night 😍

For parking, use the Suam Hoe Seafood Market parking lot right next door 👍 Please register your vehicle when you pay before leaving.

There are outdoor-stall-style seats and indoor seats; after we had been eating for a bit, the outdoor-style seating area was completely full 👍

A self-serve zone for jeon and ramyeon

Here are the indoor tables and the self-serve zone~ Chive jeon (Korean savory pancake), kimchi jeon, and ramyeon are free! There is batter for both pancakes, so I loved being able to cook as much as we wanted 😆

We ordered a lot of meat, so we only cooked one kimchi pancake nice and crisp 👍 My husband kept going back and forth between grilling meat and making the pancake, so it got a liiittle burnt—but honestly, it was even tastier that way 🤣🤣

Behind that is the self-serve ramyeon station 😆 Hot water is ready to go, which made for super-quick ramyeon, haha.

There is another self-serve bar zone too~ It had kimchi, pickled onions, seasoned bean sprouts, wraps, and ingredients for making fried rice!! 👏🏻

They set up a high chair like this, and if you ask, they will bring children’s forks and spoons too^^ There are also two kinds of aprons to protect your clothes ✌🏻

Ordering the 800g large-platter stew set

I highly recommend the stew set‼️ We ordered the Biniljip Large Platter (800g) + stew set for 3 at ₩77,000, along with cheese-loaded steamed eggs ❤️ The basic table setting came out too 😆

The bracken fern, kimchi, and seasoned bean sprouts were so delicious grilled alongside the meat 😍 I love this combination so much!!

Rich kimchi stew and tender pork

The kimchi stew that came with the set... it was absolutely packed with pork‼️ It was simmered so richly that it was a total rice thief 🍚 I wanted to show you how full it was of pork, kimchi, and tofu, haha.

It really lived up to the name: a cheese explosion‼️ It was incredibly soft and nicely seasoned, haha. Such a wow steamed egg dish‼️

With 800g of pork neck, chewy pork neck, and pork belly, the amount was enormous 🫢 Since we were hungry, we grilled a bit of everything 😍😍 My husband worked hard and had it sizzling away in no time 👍 Thank you, I will dig in, haha.

Just seeing this meat video makes me so happy 😍😍 I wrapped up a ssam (lettuce wrap) and had a bite 🥩 The pork was truly so soft and tender—like it melted in my mouth? It was just so delicious~

Our oldest, of course, inhaled it, and even our younger one was holding the bowl and eating away 🤣🤣

We were so busy inhaling the meat that the kimchi pancake got pushed aside, but reheating the cold pancake on the grill until crisp made it even tastier 👍

Conveniences that made visiting with children easy

The restrooms are separated by gender, which was convenient. They even have hair ties, toothpicks, and floss stocked in front of the restroom and register‼️

You can have coffee for dessert too~ There are ramps on both sides, making it easy to bring in a stroller. So good 👏🏻

The outdoor-stall vibe is unusual and made it feel like we were at a campsite. It was even better because we could have tender pork belly, pork neck, and chewy pork neck, plus free savory pancakes, kimchi pancakes, and ramyeon‼️ Do try the kimchi stew too~ It is close to home and the meat was delicious, so I think we will come back for pork belly in Ulsan 👏🏻 Next time, I should visit a little later when all the lights are on 😆
