Headed to Samhwan Hipex with an empty stomach after work. This building has so many good places to eat that I come here often even for lunch. I usually eat in the basement of the Hipex A building, where all the good restaurants cluster together, so it's always hard to choose... Tonight's dinner was Bulgogi On Soban.

How to find the restaurant in the Samhwan Hipex basement
It's on B1 of the Samhwan Hipex building — the easiest way to find it is to take the escalator down, then head back toward the up direction. Go into the alley beside the up escalator and you'll be right at Bulgogi On Soban, a lunch favorite in Sampyeong-dong. (As of September 2026) a lunch discount event is running, so you can get a hearty bulgogi set for a cheap ₩10,000 — highly recommend it to office workers.

Is Bulgogi On Soban good for solo dinners and team meals?
It's a wide, clean space that looked suitable for groups of two or three as well as bigger team dinners. There was a wide selection of alcohol. Going in the evening, I noticed quite a few people eating alone too.

Since it's in Pangyo Techno Valley, where a lot of office workers come, they also accept prepaid meal cards — handy if your company covers meal expenses. Jealous... Being in Samhwan Hipex means the parking is very spacious too, and they register your car for up to two hours, so it's convenient even if you drive. Seeing the place in person, it's great for team dinners or group gatherings — highly recommend this Sampyeong-dong spot to Pangyo office workers.

Bulgogi On Soban's menu and the 10,000 won lunch deal
Here's the menu of the good-value Bulgogi On Soban. There's the hearty bapsang (rice-table set) course, a generous bulgogi set, and even drinking snacks. However you look at it, the lunch deal is the best value here — with rice, soup, and lettuce for wraps, it's basically a ssambap (wrap rice) set that fills you up during a workday.

The table is set up like this, but the seasoning was already just right so I didn't use it. Having the small side plate nearby was nice.

The broth looked clear, so I thought it'd be a cold bean sprout soup, but it was actually warm and spicy. Even better! With pork you can get sick of it partway through, but this soup cleared my palate in the middle so I could finish the whole thing haha.

Garlic flower rib bulgogi set, 20,000 won per person
Deciding what to try, I ordered the garlic flower rib bulgogi set marked VIP on the menu. It was ₩20,000 per person and seems to be the signature dish. That consommé corn was seriously delicious, and there was also grilled rice cake sprinkled with cheese powder, adding variety. The enoki mushrooms were sautéed sweetly too and I finished them all.

It comes as a well-composed bapsang set with rice, soup, and side dishes, so you can eat heartily whether it's lunch or dinner. They say the main customer base is office workers in their 20s and 30s, and this is definitely the place to go when you're craving hearty home cooking during the workday.
The flower rib bulgogi we ordered is made from trimmed rib meat aged for 48 hours, seasoned with On Soban's savory garlic sauce — genuinely tender and sweet.

A generous, warm, thoughtfully made meal that left me really satisfied that evening. The owner was very kind too, friendly all the way until I left after eating — it warmed my heart. Definitely coming back for lunch!

Evening drinks and booking through Naver Place
Along with a wide range of drinks, there was also a large selection of alcohol, so it looked great for having a drink alongside dinner. Definitely a spot built for group dinners...

Worried about ingredients running out or having to wait, I booked through Naver Place after finishing work on a weekday evening. It was relaxed for a weeknight in Techno Valley, but I could see delivery and takeout orders coming in continuously. If you're looking for a warm meal in Sampyeong-dong, this is a place worth recommending.
