In short
Jongdal Sudatteul is a 13-side-dish Korean set meal restaurant on Yongnuni Oreum-ro in Gujwa-eup, Jeju. The ₩25,000-per-person Jeju set meal was joined by a seafood ramyeon with dombegogi (17,000 won) that the writer's child asked for, alongside braised mackerel, grilled hairtail, dombegogi, seafood hot pot, soy-marinated crab and abalone. Traveling around Jeju, there were so many good restaurants that eating was honestly one of the best parts of the whole trip. This time we went to Jongdal Sudatteul, a Jeju Korean set meal restaurant where you can taste basically every famous Jeju dish at once, served up as a generous 13-side-dish spread.
Location and hours of Jongdal Sudatteul
Jongdal Sudatteul 8 Yongnuni Oreum-ro, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea 10:00 - 21:00

Jongdal Sudatteul is on the eastern side of Jeju, near Seongsan Ilchulbong and Seopjikoji, so it's an easy add if you're already touring that area.

Parking, garden and atmosphere
There's plenty of parking right in front, so there was no stress about finding a spot. Out front, a wide, charmingly laid-out garden with a little path leading up to the restaurant made the walk in fun.
The weather was so nice that day that the garden looked like a picture — I honestly wasn't sure if I'd arrived at a restaurant or a pension haha.
Inside, the space was decorated in a similarly charming way, with wood-tone interiors giving off a warm, relaxed Jeju feeling. The tables were spaced generously apart too, so we could eat comfortably and quietly, which made the whole experience even better.

The ₩25,000 Jeju set meal
Since this is a Jeju set meal specialist, we of course ordered the Jeju set meal. At ₩25,000 per person, it comes with braised mackerel, grilled hairtail, dombegogi, seafood hot pot, soy-marinated abalone, soy crab and wrap greens as standard — a reasonable price for what you get. You can swap the braised mackerel for braised hairtail for an extra ₩4,000 per person, or swap the plain rice for abalone hot pot rice or sea urchin bibimbap for an extra ₩12,000 per person.

It arrived on a big round tray with a retro vibe, packed with 13 side dishes. Just looking at it, it was neat and generous — genuinely mouth-watering.

The dombegogi (pork belly slices) and grilled hairtail came separately, served on a wooden board. 'Dombe' means cutting board in Jeju dialect, so getting to taste meat served straight off a board like that is something you really only get in Jeju, right? Haha.

Seafood ramyeon our kid picked, loaded with seafood
On top of the Jeju set meal, we added a seafood ramyeon because our kid wanted it. Seafood ramyeon plus dombegogi comes to ₩17,000.
Maybe because it's Jeju, the seafood ramyeon was absolutely loaded with seafood — abalone, crab, clams and more, giving it that refreshing, savory depth.

This would also be a perfect hangover-cure meal for anyone who had a drink or two the night before while touring Jeju. Packed with seafood, the broth was spicy and refreshing, and we finished the whole bowl in no time haha.

Black pork dombegogi with 13-side-dish wraps
The dombegogi came sliced thick, and the staff gave us scissors so the kids could cut it up easily haha. The lean meat was soft and juicy, while the fatty part was chewy with a nice bite — you could tell this was black pork dombegogi.

The first bite went in with just a dip of salt, and from the second on we mixed and matched with whatever side dishes we liked to make wraps. With 13 side dishes to choose from, you can build all kinds of combinations to suit your own taste. It was also great that you could grab as much as you wanted from the self-service corner if anything ran low.

Braised mackerel with aged kimchi — pure rice thief
Now for the main dish, braised mackerel. The aged kimchi had been braised down so much it pulled apart along its grain — a total 'rice thief' even on its own. The mackerel was also braised until soft, and wrapping it in the kimchi was pure bliss.

We'd been hunting down famous Jeju dishes one by one during the trip, so it was great to get to taste so many of them in one sitting here. The side dishes were also generous and varied enough that we never got tired of eating.

Seafood hot pot and grilled hairtail
The seafood hot pot, with its doenjang (soybean paste) base, had a broth that was both refreshing and deeply savory — personally my favorite. Like the hangover ramyeon, this hot pot was also stuffed with seafood, and the deep, clean broth was really something else. The grilled hairtail had thick, plentiful flesh that was easy to pick apart, clean-tasting on the outside and nutty on the inside — satisfying from start to finish.

Why the whole family was satisfied
We even got to eat our fill of soy crab and soy-marinated abalone, dishes that aren't always easy to enjoy — so we really got our seafood fix. Between the clean presentation and the generous 13-side-dish spread that let us taste so many famous Jeju dishes in one place, this was a Jeju set meal restaurant that satisfied everyone in the family. If you're planning a trip around Seongsan Ilchulbong or Seopjikoji, Jongdal Sudatteul is well worth adding to your itinerary.
