A neat Korean restaurant near Hyeopjae Beach
It is on the first floor of a tidy building near Hyeopjae Beach, so it was easy to find.

The clean exterior stood out right away, even from a distance.
Inside, everything was well organized and felt pleasantly comfortable.

They also had plenty of baby chairs, so it looked convenient for families dining with children.

Jeju sea snail haejangguk and premium Korean beef offal soup

Whenever I come to Jeju, I find myself looking for a hearty soup dish for breakfast or lunch. This spot is also popular with local residents, so I arrived with high expectations.

We ordered one each of their signature Jeju bomal haejangguk (sea snail hangover soup) and premium Korean beef offal soup to share. Before long, generously filled ttukbaegi (earthenware pots) arrived at the table, sending up steam.
Savory, delicate Jeju bomal haejangguk
The Jeju bomal haejangguk first caught my attention with its savory aroma as soon as it arrived. Its broth was a dark, rich green, making it immediately clear that they had not held back on the bomal.

I took a generous spoonful of broth, and it was not muddy at all; a clean, deep scent of the sea filled my mouth.

The bomal's pleasantly chewy texture became even nuttier the more I chewed, while the tender seaweed and crisp bean sprouts brought out the refreshing quality of the soup. It was so full of umami that I kept spooning up the broth before mixing in any rice.

I usually do not go for food that is overly seasoned or tastes strongly of artificial seasoning, but this bomal haejangguk let the ingredients' naturally mild flavor shine through, so I could keep eating it with ease. Mixing in a bowl of rice and topping it with a piece of kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) was the perfect combination.
Spicy and generous premium Korean beef offal soup
The premium Korean beef offal soup we tried next had a completely different appeal from the bomal haejangguk.

Once I mixed in the dadegi (spicy seasoning paste), the red broth looked fiery, but it was not excessively hot when I tasted it—just pleasantly spicy.
The ttukbaegi was packed with Korean beef offal, glass noodles, and assorted vegetables. I am a little sensitive to unwanted odors and tend to worry when eating offal dishes, but there was no unpleasant smell at all, and the meat itself was wonderfully tender and savory.

The cheonyeop (honeycomb tripe) and other offal were chewy yet tender, and I could really tell they had been carefully prepared. The broth seemed to be based on a beef-bone stock, with a rich, weighty flavor; the spicy seasoning had soaked in beautifully, and I could not help but exclaim.

Alternating between the refreshing, savory bomal broth and the spicy, filling offal soup meant we could enjoy the meal without ever getting tired of it.

The neatly served banchan (side dishes)—fresh geotjeori kimchi and salted squid—paired so well with the soup and rice that I refilled them from the self-service station several times. It was a great Hyeopjae restaurant for a proper, filling meal during a Jeju trip.
Parking and final thoughts
This is a standout spot for a rich broth that is not overpowering and feels soothing after a meal.
There is a well-prepared dedicated parking area, so even visitors arriving by car can dine comfortably without worrying about parking.
If you are looking for a good Korean restaurant in Hyeopjae, Jeju, I would recommend Hyeopjae On Ttukbaegi for its neat presentation and deeply flavored soups. Both the savory, mild bomal haejangguk and the rich, clean-tasting premium Korean beef offal soup were excellent. The clean interior and convenient parking make it an ideal meal stop on a travel itinerary.
