Today Jeju Harubangne Jeju dessert

Harubangne, a very Jeju dol hareubang dessert

I found the cutest, most Jeju-ish dessert ever!! It's Harubangne (하르방느) from Today Jeju (오늘제주)! It's an edible madeleine shaped exactly like a dol hareubang (Jeju's iconic stone grandfather statue), and it was so cute the moment I saw it haha. The colors are all bright and cheerful, so it's pretty just to look at, and above all, the hareubang shape is just adorable lol

You can tell at a glance it's a Jeju souvenir, so it'd make a nice gift for family or friends too. If you're hunting for edible souvenirs on your Jeju trip, a place like this lets you browse everything in one go haha

When you're in Jeju, you want to pick up at least one Jeju-style dessert or souvenir you can only get here, right? 😎 For that, it's great as a gift and also perfect as a snack back at your hotel! Harubangne, bursting with Jeju vibes 🥹

Harubangne's 8 flavors and the gift set

Harubangne is Today Jeju's cute hareubang-shaped madeleine. It's made with clean ingredients grown in Jeju, so it's not just a pretty souvenir — it feels like it captures the taste of Jeju too, which I loved even more. In particular, you can pick from 8 flavors made with Jeju's signature ingredients!

Hallabong (Jeju citrus), matcha, carrot, baeknyeoncho (prickly pear cactus fruit), black sesame, fig, chocolate and Earl Grey — with that much variety, it's fun choosing by taste ⭐️ I went with the Harubangne 8-flavor gift set so I could try all of them at once.

A paper shopping bag is ₩700 and a plastic one is free. The packaging is quite upscale, and the vivid orange box really makes a statement 🧡 You don't need much extra wrapping when gifting it — on its own, it already screams Jeju souvenir. You can buy it at Shilla Duty Free.

How to store Harubangne and heat it in the air fryer

Check the storage instructions too! Today Jeju's Harubangne contains no preservatives or chemical additives, so they recommend eating it within 5 days of purchase. If you can't eat it right away, you can freeze it — it keeps about 1 month in the freezer.

When you want to eat one from the freezer, just leave it out to thaw at room temperature for about 14–20 minutes. And if, like me, you want a warm Harubangne that tastes freshly baked, they say to use an air fryer! About 5 minutes at 180°C and you get that crispy-outside, moist-inside style, they say.

Trying the Earl Grey flavor as a hotel dessert

I ate mine as a snack after getting back to my hotel. Out of the 8, I pulled out the Earl Grey one 😎

Walking into a resort where a knife, fork and even a plate were all laid out, a thought suddenly hit me?! Isn't this a sign that I'm meant to eat the Harubangne? haha lol I'd already had a filling dinner, but there's always a separate stomach for dessert!! haha So I arranged it nicely on the plate and dug in 😎

If you're after a special dessert souvenir you can only find in Jeju, instead of the usual snacks, take a look at Today Jeju's Harubangne, with its cute looks and Jeju-grown ingredients ⭐️ The 8-flavor set in particular lets you try several flavors at once, so it's great as a gift and also nice to take home as a memento of your Jeju trip! I ate all of mine as snacks during the trip lol
