Toddler-friendly garden café in Gimpo with bubble play: Nillai
In short
Nillai is a garden café in Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo, Gyeonggi, with a wide lawn and views over the surrounding rice fields. Visiting with a 25-month-old toddler, the writer bought a ₩2,000 bubble toy for running around the garden, then had dessert indoors with a Nillai latte (₩7,000) and a croffle (₩11,900). Nillai keeps kids' snacks and toys on hand, so families can arrive empty-handed.

Nillai is a garden café on Gimpo-daero in Wolgot-myeon, Gyeonggi — a great stop on a drive toward Ganghwa. The weather and temperature these days are so good for outdoor time~ We went to a Ganghwa-area café where we could play outside a lot before it gets colder! We drove, played hard outdoors, and enjoyed some rice-field-view zoning out at the café too!~

Inside Nillai: the best seats with a toddler
The interior

Nillai isn't just a wide garden — the inside of the café is also really spacious and had a great vibe. I didn't see any separate baby chairs, but there were plenty of sofa seats, so our kid could sit comfortably, enjoy the rice-field view, and eat snacks nicely too! 👍🏻 Each seating area had a different concept, so it was fun that photos looked different depending on where you sat.

Windows on both sides: garden and mountain view, rice-field view
What impressed me about Nillai was that both sides had floor-to-ceiling window views — one side facing the garden and mountains, the other facing a pool and rice fields. Similar yet different views, and I loved that. The pool didn't seem to be operating right now, and there was construction going on right next to it. Looks like something new is being installed, so I'm really looking forward to it :) That gave us a reason to come back haha. Our 25-month-old also gazed out at the rice-field view now and then, just zoning out. When Dad was playing with the kid in the garden, I got to enjoy some rice-field-view zoning out, and when I was playing with the kid, Dad got his own little healing time 👍🏻

They also sell zero-alcohol beer, so you can have one just for the mood, and there are drinks and snacks for kids too. There are also nice breads for brunch or kids' snacks, so dads, moms, and kids can all be happy ^^ We came right after lunch, so today we'll enjoy a coffee-and-dessert time! I saw a lot of people ordering the burger set for brunch!
Nillai's outdoor garden and the ₩2,000 bubble toy
The outdoor garden

Inside Nillai, along with kids' snacks, they also sell little toys — and among them, a bubble wand toy stole my baby's heart! It was cheap too, only ₩2,000. Both snacks and toys for kids are already fully prepared at the café, so you really can just show up empty-handed 🎵 The wide, lush green garden was clean and well-maintained, so even if the kid tripped and fell, it was still tidy. Our baby loved it so much, I really felt glad we came.

Nillai latte, americano and croffle: prices and how they taste
- Americano ₩6,000
- Nillai Latte ₩7,000
- Croffle ₩11,900

The signature Nillai Latte! What makes it special is the rice cream on top 🌾 The generous layer of cream on top of the latte is made from rice, so it's sweet and nutty but still light and clean — it goes so well with the coffee. I'd recommend it if you want a latte that's nutty rather than sweet! The americano had no acidity, just a nutty flavor, and it went really well with the croffle!

On top of the crisply baked croffle, there's cheese and sweet vanilla ice cream. You can also eat it with tangy-sweet shine muscat grapes and fresh, vibrant figs. This was my first time having fresh figs at a café, and I loved it! The kid ate the fruit really well too, and even ate the part of the croffle without syrup, really well! Oh, and the rice crackers they gave us as a service snack — my baby loved them so much I'm planning to buy some separately later!!

Nillai vs 'The Nillai' in Yangchon-eup: don't go to the wrong café
There are plenty of photo zones too, so it's fun to explore here and there! In Gimpo, there's both 'The Nillai' in Yangchon-eup and 'Nillai' in Wolgot-myeon. Be careful not to mix them up when you search your navigation! We actually went to the wrong one once;; This was Nillai, located in Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo-si~
