In short
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a sushi and roll buffet on the 6th floor at 247 Nowon-ro in Nowon-gu, Seoul, a short walk from Exit 2 of Hagye Station on Subway Line 7. On maternity leave with a second child, the writer arrived at the 11am weekday opening, walked in with no wait, and worked through freshly set-out sushi and California rolls, soup en croute, and Dippin' Dots ice cream, with weekday lunch at 27,900 won and a 90-minute limit. With a child in tow, parking on basement level 1 and taking the elevator straight to the 6th floor is the easiest way in.

Today I want to share an honest review of Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, visited on a relaxed weekday morning during my maternity leave for my second child. When you're raising kids, nothing beats a buffet where you can comfortably eat whatever you want, as much as you want. Among all the options, I went to Kuu Kuu Nowon, which offers everything from sushi and rolls to hot food and dessert, timed to the 11am opening.
Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon, and is driving easier with a child?
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is on the 6th floor of a building at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul, and parking is available in the basement level 1 of the same building. It's also easily reachable on foot from Exit 2 of Hagye Station on Subway Line 7.

Public transit access is great, but if you're visiting with a young child or infant, I'd recommend driving and parking in the basement, then taking the elevator up to the 6th floor — much easier with a stroller or bags.

Visiting right at opening meant I got to enjoy freshly made, warm dishes for the very first time of the day — genuinely satisfying.

The sushi and California roll corner

The first thing that caught my eye was, of course, the California roll and sushi section. Gunkan (gunkan-maki, battleship-shaped sushi), California rolls, an assortment of raw fish sushi, beef sushi, salmon sushi — all neatly lined up, making it fun to pick and choose. The rice portions weren't too heavy and the toppings were good quality, so it was easy to try a bit of everything.

Hot food, pizza and soup en croute corner

The warm-dishes corner had everything from freshly baked pizza to fried food, fried rice, and even a luxurious soup en croûte (soup baked under a pastry crust). Breaking open the pastry crust and eating it with the savory cream soup underneath was even better right after opening, while it was still warm.
Desserts and the Dippin' Dots ice cream collaboration

The dessert corner, the finale of the meal, exceeded expectations too. Cakes, fruit, waffles, and baked goods were all neatly arranged. Most impressive was the collaboration section with Dippin' Dots ice cream — the colorful little ice cream beads that kids and adults alike love, available to take as much as you want, making for a perfect finish to the meal.
Is Kuu Kuu Nowon worth a weekday lunch visit?
Visiting Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch on an opening-run morning during my second maternity leave was a treat! A clean store environment, plenty of parking, fresh sushi, a wide variety of hot food, and desserts like the Dippin' Dots ice cream all made for a highly satisfying meal. If you're near Hagye Station looking for a family meal out or a good-value sushi buffet, I definitely recommend giving it a try!
