Patchy roots to level 7 full color at Gangdong-gu hair salon Juno Hair

Even though I do a tone-down color every time, it always ends up brighter again after a while! I'd gone a few times for root touch-ups paid out of my own pocket, but patches showed up, so it had been a while since I got a full color to fix the tone — I went to Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo, a hair salon in Cheonho-dong!

It was easy to get to on foot from the station! Let me walk through everything from the consultation to the before/after results everyone's most curious about!

Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo is walkable from Cheonho Station, and the salon uses both the 1st and 2nd floors together. I went on a weekday afternoon by reservation and got seated right away with no wait!

There are a lot of designers and it feels really systematic, so it looks like couples could probably book at the same time too!

I was guided up to the 2nd floor and got careful care from start to finish! The flow was so comfortable too!

Full color

My designer was Yeondu. There were a lot of reviews of women's full color from her too, so I could trust her with it!! She carefully went over my current hair condition and the tone I wanted.

My before hair had a patchy look all over and a lot of orange tone showing through!

I told her I prefer a moody, calm feel, and we decided together to bring it to around level 7 and neutralize the orange tone that had come up in my current hair!

How the full color process went

She protected my ears with disposable caps, then started applying color to my hair, working carefully all the way from a slight gap below the roots down to the ends.

For a full color, instead of going in all at once the same way everywhere, she went slowly and tested the section where the roots had grown out!

Honestly, I'd been really bothered by the patchiness from my previous self-paid root touch-ups, so having it come out this evenly matched was so satisfying! Women's hair is usually long, so when it gets patchy it looks a lot less pretty I feel ㅠ (spoiler on the result: it really did come out even!)

Shampoo and blow-dry

The shampoo felt so refreshing! It was genuinely the real deal... I was actually enjoying it so much I forgot to film it ㅜ She washed all the way down to my scalp so refreshingly, it felt so good haha (she even loosened up my neck and washed my scalp thoroughly, I was really, really satisfied).

Even before the blow-dry, I was already happy with the result, but then two people quickly blow-dried it together and when I checked, the color looked even prettier?

With the brightness toned down and settled, it definitely looked cleaner! The color came out so natural too, I loved it!! When I got home my husband saw it and said it was so pretty, he'd been saying why even bother coloring it, but once he actually saw the result he said it was totally worth it haha.

Compared to the back of my hair before the treatment, the orange tone was calmed down nicely. It feels a lot easier to manage too! From arriving at Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo to finishing the tone-down color took about an hour and a half! Her hands were fast so it finished sooner than I expected, and the result was still satisfying!
