How close is Weizenhaus to Sadang Station Exit 11?
Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1, my go-to spot near Exit 11 when I want draft beer at Sadang Station, is right outside the subway station, cheap, and loaded with side dishes — the best pick whenever I'm debating where to go for a second round.
Seriously, it's right at the station haha. After drinking, you can grab a drink at the Banapresso across the street and head straight home.
You head down to the basement from here.
The stairs down to the shop are a bit steep, so if you're properly drunk, watch your step so you don't go tumbling down haha.
Inside Weizenhaus Bangbae: the room and the wood-fired oven
The shop is pretty spacious, so it's easy to find a seat without worrying!
There's a wood-fired oven here too, so the pizza is great. Honestly, this place is basically a pizza spot.
Draft beer prices and the free shrimp chips
There are tons of draft beer options, and craft lager starts at ₩5,700! The bathrooms are clean too, so you can drink comfortably all night.
The house side dish is shrimp chips fried in-house, and of course refills are available.
We started with beer. My tongue isn't great at telling beers apart, but this place's beer is definitely good! Lots of carbonation and no off-flavors, which I loved.
Must be because it's a popular bar near Sadang Station — the beer tastes noticeably fresh!
Tacos for 11,000 won and the tomato pasta
Since this was our second round, we kept the food simple. First we ordered tacos. They usually come with cilantro on top, but we asked for it on the side!
The tacos are piled high with both vegetables and meat, and surprisingly filling. Pretty substantial. Two pieces were ₩11,000.
Next we ordered tomato pasta, which was tangy and loaded with ingredients — good as a beer side dish.
But honestly, I think the chicken or pizza here is better than the pasta. If you can, just get the chicken or pizza haha.
Winter Sunshine, the green-grape craft beer
I tried a beer called Winter Sunshine, and it was genuinely delicious.
The natural, refreshing green grape aroma is honestly moving. Please try it.. it lives up to this popular Sadang Station bar's reputation.
