This time I finally checked out a craft beer spot near Sadang Station that I'd been curious about for a while. There have been a lot of gatherings around Sadang lately, so I ended up visiting. Once I got there in person, it was bigger and had a better vibe than I expected.

Coming from the busy street near Sadang Station, a big "WEIZEN HOUSE" English sign and bright lights reading craft beer and wood-fired pizza caught my eye from far away.

The place takes up a wide corner spot on the first floor of the building, so it's easy to find, and the warm light spilling out gave it a hip, lively first impression.

A duplex layout with group seating and a lively atmosphere
Walking in and heading down the stairs, I was surprised at how much bigger it was inside than I'd guessed from outside. The industrial-style exposed concrete ceiling, pipes, and brick interior all came together really stylishly.

Thanks to the duplex structure especially, the space felt open with high ceilings and comfortable. The tables were spaced generously and there were plenty of seats set up for groups — seeing it in person, I understood why it's so popular for Sadang office dinners and big group gatherings.

True to a craft beer specialty spot, there was a big copper-toned beer tap bar in one corner, looking impressive. The neatly lined-up beer glasses for different styles gave it a real air of expertise.

Turning to look next to it, I spotted two large red wood-fired ovens in the kitchen, actually baking pizzas. Watching the ovens run nonstop turning out pizzas raised my expectations for the food even more haha
Starting with a craft beer toast
We ordered wood-fired pepperoni pizza, thick cheesy nachos, and craft beers to everyone's own taste, putting together a hearty spread.

First, we clinked our craft beer glasses, which looked refreshing just to look at, for a toast. The smooth foam and rich flavor going down felt like it washed away a whole day's fatigue. Everyone picked a different beer, and each one's distinct aroma and taste really came through.

Cheese nachos
Next up was a side dish that was overwhelming just to look at — the cheese nachos. Crispy nacho chips were completely covered in thick, rich cheddar cheese sauce, no gaps left.

Dipping them lightly in the spicy salsa served alongside, the right amount of saltiness and savoriness lingered in the mouth — the perfect pairing for beer.

Wood-fired pepperoni pizza
And here's the main event, the wood-fired pepperoni pizza. On a thin, chewy dough, red pepperoni was packed on densely like flower petals!! Lifting up a slice, the mozzarella cheese stretched out like a waterfall — the detail was pure art.

Fresh out of the high-heat oven, the edges of the dough were crisp while the inside stayed soft and chewy — both textures were spot on.

The savory cheese and salty pepperoni came together so that every bite delivered a rich, deep flavor.
What I thought after visiting in person
I felt like the biggest strength of Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 is being able to enjoy wood-fired pizza that rivals dedicated pizzerias alongside top-notch craft beer. The space is so wide and comfortable that we weren't bothered much by conversation from neighboring tables, and we got to spend a satisfying time laughing and chatting comfortably with friends.
With its spacious tables and duplex seating for large groups, I'd strongly recommend it as a spot for Sadang office dinners, wedding invitation get-togethers, or club afterparties. If you're looking for a high-quality pizza spot near Sadang Station, or you love a diverse lineup of craft beers, you won't regret it. It gets pretty busy during peak hours, so booking ahead for group visits will get you a better table.
