A simple rental shop that turned out to be a genuinely satisfying find — easy picnicking at Mangwon Han River Park with #PicnicListMangwon

On a gorgeous day, I went looking for an aesthetic-filled picnic at Mangwon Han River Park and ended up at Picnic List Mangwon. It's right along the path between Mangwon Station and the park, so getting there with rented gear was genuinely convenient.

From picnic mats to rattan baskets, mood-setting props, and wine glasses, the set lineup was thoughtfully put together and everything was kept spotlessly clean — I felt good the moment I picked things up. What the shop looks like inside and out

The weather's been amazing lately! On days like this, not picnicking should be illegal. (Keep this up and an ice age will show up, seriously.) But packing this and that for a picnic ends up being a mountain of luggage that drains your energy before you even leave — that's exactly when renting gear from Picnic List is the perfect fit.

Picnic List sits directly across from the main entrance of Mangwon Han River Park! So after renting, all you have to do is cross the street — moving your gear is super easy.

• By subway: Get off at Mangwon Station > walk toward Mangwon Han River Park
• By bus: Get off near Mangwon Han River Park/Mangwon Market > head toward the park entrance

What picnic gear can you rent?

Here's what's available to rent. Beyond picnic mats and shade tents, there are even wine glasses and full tableware sets, so you really only need to bring your picnic food! Note that shade tents can only be set up in designated zones, so keep that in mind.

How QR pickup and return work

Pick out the items you want, grab them yourself, and fill out the rental QR form — that's it, rental done! Loved how simple it was.

For returns, just set your used items down in the return zone on the left side of the entrance and fill out the return QR form — done!

They also have garlands, so it'd be great to come here for something special, like a birthday.

If you look closely, there's soap bubbles and badminton rackets too, so you could go a bit more active if you wanted. My picnic goal was pure rest, so — pass~

Using the shade tent, embossed mat, wine set and speaker

I ended up using a shade tent, chair, embossed mat, wine set, and Bluetooth speaker. The tent is a one-touch type, so it popped open the second I took it out — super convenient. (Folding it back up is a bit tricky though.)

I went back and forth on whether to use a picnic blanket or the embossed mat, but personally I recommend the embossed mat. With just a blanket, grass tends to poke through a little. For this picnic, I brought sashimi (raw fish) and white wine.

There are disposable wine glasses and even a wine table, so everything was incredibly convenient! And I'd definitely recommend renting the Bluetooth speaker. With a gentle breeze, a full stomach, and music playing — this really was paradise...

+ The base rental time is 3 hours, but you can get an extra hour by joining the review event. I only used 3 hours since the sun went down, but you all should take it slow and enjoy.

Is Picnic List Mangwon worth it?

Pickup and return were both easy and simple, and the props were so thoughtfully prepared that I got great photos and a genuinely relaxing time by the Han River, thanks to Picnic List Mangwon. Without having to prepare anything separately, one picnic set gave me both the mood and the aesthetic — I was really satisfied. (I've actually paid out of my own pocket to use this place before too!)
