This time my husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat in Hongdae and ended up at Pasta Go! With pasta, pizza, and risotto all on the menu, we had plenty to choose from, and the prices weren't too intimidating either — I think this place would work well for anyone hunting for a good-value restaurant in Hongdae💙

Where Pasta Go sits in the Hongdae alleys, and what the room feels like

Pasta Go Hongdae Branch sits in one of those alleys with that classic Hongdae feel, so it was easy to browse nearby restaurants and cafés too — a good spot to slot into a meal plan when you've got somewhere to be in Hongdae. The restaurant itself has a casual, relaxed vibe, making it good for friends as well as couples looking for a low-pressure meal. Hongdae has so many restaurants that deciding where to go can be tough, but this time we went all in — pasta, pizza, and risotto, all at once :)

Pasta Go takes Catch Table reservations, and since it's tasty and good value, I feel like a lot of Hongdae students probably go here too.

The overall vibe is casual and comfortable, making it easy to eat without any pressure. Instead of feeling like a fancy restaurant(?), it has the kind of atmosphere where you can casually enjoy a plate of pasta with friends or a partner in Hongdae!

Garlic butter cream pasta

True to its name, this is a style where the rich, savory flavor of butter is layered with cream sauce, so it should suit anyone who likes thick, smooth cream pasta!!! What stood out was the subtle garlic aroma coming through — instead of just a heavy, rich cream sauce, there were bursts of garlic flavor throughout ʚ♥ɞ

The solo set: aglio e olio, pepperoni pizza, and a drink

For the solo set, we chose aglio e olio for the pasta. Aglio e olio is built on garlic and oil, so it's a completely different experience from cream pasta — since the flavor centers on garlic and the clean taste of oil, it's a good pick for anyone who finds cream pasta a bit heavy. We like our aglio e olio a little spicy, so we had them make it spicier than Shin Ramyun! The heat level was just right.

Hot rosé chicken rosé risotto

Risotto with chicken in a smooth rosé sauce gave us a whole different, filling experience from the pastas. The creamy, smooth flavor typical of rosé sauce paired well with the rice, and true to the 'hot' in its name, there was a mild spicy kick that cut through the richness!

Looking for a nice-vibe spot in Hongdae can sometimes mean prices climb higher than expected, but Pasta Go's advantage is that you can enjoy pasta dishes without breaking the bank!!! That's a huge plus among pluses, isn't it haha? So I'd recommend this place not only to people searching for pasta in Hongdae, but also to anyone looking for a Hongdae date restaurant where you can eat a light meal and chat comfortably.
