Doesn't it feel like perfect picnic weather lately, with the cooler air and such pretty skies?! We wanted to catch this nice weather with a picnic at Mangwon Hangang Park, so we looked into it and found Picnic List Mangwon — easy to get to and super convenient for renting picnic gear — and had ourselves a hassle-free picnic.
Where is Picnic List Mangwon and how do you get there?
Picnic List Mangwon is at 1 Mangwon-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, right across from the main entrance leading into Mangwon Hangang Park. It's open daily from 11:00 to 22:00, and once you pull the wagon through just one passage, you're straight into the Han River park!

What picnic gear can you rent at the shop?
Picnic List Mangwon has a wide range of outdoor picnic essentials ready to go — tents, shade canopies, mats, tables, chairs, and more. Everything was neatly organized, so it was easy to find what we needed even with the self-service system.
Beyond the basics, there were also fans, blankets, and even electric fly swatters that come in handy depending on the weather. Plus, they had soccer balls, basketballs, badminton sets, and board games for all kinds of fun, depending on your taste.
There were also aesthetic props like mirrors and picnic baskets, along with event-ready items like garlands and garland lights, so you can make a special day feel even more special.

Where are shade tents allowed in Mangwon Hangang Park?
As we pulled the wagon toward the park, we spotted the delivery zone that's now set up right at Mangwon Hangang Park.
We checked the shade-zone rules notice that Picnic List gave us, and thanks to it, finding the area where you're actually allowed to set up shade at Mangwon Hangang Park was easy.
We arrived early in the morning and got to the shade-zone spot first, before anyone else could set up a tent. The green sky and trees were so pretty, and there was plenty of shade, making it a great spot to pitch a tent under.
Packing all that picnic gear ourselves would've been rough, but the shop was practically right next to the park, and the wagon was light enough that moving everything was really easy.
Total picnic vibes, right?! Convenience and aesthetics all in one — that made it even better. It was the perfect setup for eating good food, chatting with friends or a partner, and making relaxed memories together!
Setting up the one-touch tent, embossed mat and backrest chair
Picnic List Mangwon's tent is a one-touch tent that even beginners can use easily. Just undo the strap and the tent's up!
Ta-da. So easy and convenient, right?!
Since the ground can get uncomfortable, we laid down the embossed mat. It could unfold wide, but we just used half of it.
We'd never used a backrest chair before so we were a bit unsure, but it was way more comfortable and sturdy than expected! (This is the part where it proves just how sturdy it is, in person.)
This little guy is a camera-shaped bubble wand!! 📷🫧 So cute, right? It works great as a prop, and since it blows actual bubbles too, it was perfect for photos.
They say it's gotten cooler, but daytime is still hot, ugh. If we hadn't rented the fan, we would've been in trouble, haha.
Ordering pizza to the Mangwon Hangang Park delivery zone
No picnic is complete without good food!! Since a delivery zone opened up at Mangwon Hangang Park, we ordered pizza, haha. The nearby convenience store also sells Han River ramyeon (instant noodles), so we thought about it, but figured we'd get way too full and passed..!🥲 Mangwon-dong has a lot of great bakeries too, so packing some bread for a bread-picnic would be lovely as well!
How the QR self-service return works
After a happy picnic, we came back to return the gear we'd used. It was so easy to return everything using the QR code! Just scan the QR code to check in the return, then tidy up the items and place them at the designated spot.
Who a Mangwon Hangang Park picnic suits best
With such a pretty sky and a quiet Mangwon Hangang Park, this Han River picnic was proper healing. We visited right at opening, so staff helped load the rental items into our wagon one by one, but when we tried the unmanned system for the return, it turned out to be really simple and great.
It was nice not having to wait around for staff and being able to rent picnic gear on our own schedule through the unmanned system, and the location right next to Mangwon Hangang Park made for a really easy Han River picnic. It seems like it'd be great to rent picnic gear for the cherry blossom festival in spring, too~ If you're looking for a tent, mat, or other picnic gear to enjoy a picnic at Mangwon Hangang Park, we'd recommend Picnic List Mangwon☺️
