Seochon wine bar lunch set with mushroom soup: Wine Stein

If you enjoy wine, Wine Stein Seochon (와인슈타인 서촌) may be a name you have heard at least once. This newly opened spot turned out to be much more than just a bar, haha.

A stylish cultural space from the entrance onward

Wine Stein Seochon, found while walking the little lanes of Seochon, is on the third floor of the building, so even the way up felt exciting.

Even the small sign at the entrance reflected the owner's eye for style so perfectly that I simply had to take a photo.

The moment I stepped inside, the wide floor-to-ceiling windows caught my eye. The quiet, distinctive scenery of Seochon spread out before me, and it was so soothing.

Every poster on the walls helped show the identity of the space. It is a multi-purpose cultural spot that shines with sunlight during the day and turns into an atmospheric wine bar at night, so I think it would be lovely whenever you visit.

We visited at lunchtime and tried the great-value lunch selection. At ₩16,500, the lunch set includes a main dish, soup, and coffee, so it felt wonderfully substantial!

The mushroom soup that arrived first was not overly salty and had a wonderfully clean flavor, perfect for whetting the appetite before the meal. My friend said it was delicious too and finished it in no time, haha.

The two of us ordered the A set and B set, and we were surprised by how generous the portions were. They came with plenty of fresh vegetables, so it felt like a wholesome meal.

The pasta had a carbonara base, with a rich, nutty flavor without being heavy. The mix of penne and farfalle made the texture fun, and the sauce clung beautifully to the pasta.

The croissant sandwich was especially memorable. It is also sold on its own as the ₩10,000 apple arugula sandwich, and the croissant was astonishingly crisp!

The ham, cheese, and apple inside made a refreshing yet savory combination that kept me reaching for more. One little tip, though: the filling can spring out when you cut it, so slice it carefully, haha.

Honestly, it is hard to find this kind of atmosphere and value in Seochon. Around 2 p.m., just as we were finishing our meal, people suddenly started arriving and every seat filled up. I recommend making a reservation.

Browse the wine market and little-goods shop

After our meal, we slowly looked around Wine Stein Seochon and found a separate market area on one side, displaying a varied wine lineup.

Each wine had a name tag and a helpful description written personally by the owner, so even wine beginners could choose a bottle that suited their taste without feeling intimidated.

Cute magnets and charming little goods are for sale too, making it fun to browse. There are photo spots here and there as well, making this a perfect date-course stop.

The restroom is inside the venue and very clean, which I think will be a major plus for women. The owner was also so kind, and it was a space where I felt genuinely happy throughout my visit.

It felt like a hidden gem in Seochon, a cozy hideout where the owner's sincerity in making wine more approachable really came through, haha.
