Long hair I'd been growing out for my wedding photoshoot! The moment the shoot was over, I chopped it all off haha 💇🏻‍♀️ I did my wedding photos a bit early, so I still have a lot of time before the actual ceremony next June. But I figured even if I cut it short now, I'd have plenty of time to grow it back before the wedding, so I finally got the cut I'd been putting off haha

I already tried every hair transformation I wanted with long hair during the shoot, so now it's time to switch to something light and easy to manage! Today I'm sharing an honest review of the mid-length layered cut I got at Hair Studio Baekga, right in front of Dangsan Station ✂️

Where is Hair Studio Baekga, Dangsan Station Branch, and what are its hours?

Hair Studio Baekga, Dangsan Station Branch is located at 214 Dangsan-ro, Samsung Raemian Sangga Building 1, Unit 202, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It's about 190m from Dangsan Station Exit 6, and open Mon–Fri 10:00–20:00, Sat–Sun 10:00–19:00.

You can use the parking lot dedicated to the Samsung Raemian apartment shopping mall — just take your parking ticket to the shop to get it stamped.

How to book Hair Studio Baekga on Naver

Hair Studio Baekga can be easily booked through Naver Reservation. Just hit the reservation button on Naver Place, then pick your preferred designer, service, date and time. I booked designer Baek Gyeong specifically for this visit ✂️ Since available services and time slots differ by designer, it's worth checking your preferred date in advance before visiting!

Hair Studio Baekga is on the 2nd floor of the Samsung Raemian apartment shopping mall right in front of Dangsan Station. If you're taking the subway, come out Dangsan Station Exit 6, enter through the mall's main entrance, and head up to the 2nd floor. Since the mall is visible right as you exit the station, it was easy to find even on my first visit 🚇

Parking at Hair Studio Baekga if you drive

I drove there this time. Parking isn't inside the apartment complex itself — you use the shopping mall's dedicated parking lot instead.

The entrance at the back of the parking lot connects directly to the mall, so you can head straight up to the 2nd floor without going back outside. Once you park, take your parking ticket to the shop to get it stamped and you're set! Being close to Dangsan Station and having parking available made this an easy visit whether by transit or car 🚗

I was surprised at how spacious the interior was the moment I walked in! Plenty of service seats with generous spacing between them, making the whole place feel comfortable rather than cramped ✨

Because the space is so spacious, I also liked that I never felt like my movement crossed paths with other customers or that the seat next to me was too close.

Private shampoo rooms at Hair Studio Baekga

There were 3 shampoo stations total, each privately separated. Normally lying next to someone else while getting your hair washed feels a bit awkward, like you might accidentally make eye contact haha 🤣

At Hair Studio Baekga, the shampoo areas are divided so you barely see other customers, which seemed like it would make for a much more relaxing shampoo experience. I'd already washed my hair before coming, so I skipped the shampoo and went straight into the cut!

Hair Studio Baekga price list: women's cuts from 29,000 won

Hair Studio Baekga offers everything from cuts to perms, coloring, and clinic treatments. Women's cuts start from ₩29,000, with price differences depending on designer level and hair length. Paying with Naver Pay gets you ₩1,000 off any service except cut+perm combos!

Perms and coloring may come with extra charges for length starting from shoulder-length hair, so check the exact price of the service you want before booking.

Cutting off long wedding-photoshoot hair

This was my hair that I'd been growing out for a while for wedding photos. I kept it long because having longer hair seemed better for trying out different hair transformations during the shoot. The moment the shoot was over, I told them to just go ahead and cut it off, no hesitation haha

Watching the long hair get chopped away felt so satisfying...... ✂️ The designer looked at me and said I didn't seem scared at all about cutting my hair 🤣 I figure hair grows back anyway, so I'm not really scared of drastically cutting the length or trying a new style haha

Every time the scissors moved, light layers formed in what used to be just long hair, and it slowly took shape into something pretty — I loved watching it happen. It wasn't just cutting the overall length shorter; she carefully trimmed the hair around my face and the overall layering, so I was full of anticipation the whole time I was looking in the mirror 🥹

Even though quite a lot of hair was cut off, I liked how the layers flowed naturally instead of falling heavy or blunt.

After the cut, she blow-dried my hair while also showing me how to style it myself at home. She explained things in a way that would help me recreate a similar look even outside the salon, not just look pretty while I was there — which should really help with styling at home!

At the end, she styled the layers along my face line and the naturally flowing ends beautifully.

I loved the hair so much I felt like I should just head straight to meet friends instead of going home, and it was almost a shame to just go home haha. It was one of those days where I kept checking mirrors and my phone camera the whole way home 💇🏻‍♀️✨

And all the hair that came off my head...... 🤣 Way more than I expected fell to the floor, and I was a little shocked myself looking down. It really felt like a proper farewell to the long hair I'd grown out for my wedding photos ✂️

The finished style is a mid-length layered cut that falls naturally below the shoulders! The overall length was cut significantly shorter while natural layers were added around the face, making my hair look much lighter and softening my face line.

I especially loved how the side hair and side bangs connected naturally, giving a feeling of framing my face 🥹

Compared to when I had long hair, the overall vibe feels much fresher, and it seems to go well with the casual clothes I usually wear haha
