Chicken broth ramen and creek walk in Eunpyeong, Seoul: Oreno Ramen

Was I the only one who didn’t know that Oreno Ramen, my absolute favorite ramen place, had a branch in Eunpyeong? 😥 I’ve been to the Oreno Ramen by Anguk Station more times than I can count, and there was one in my neighborhood too! And after visiting, I found this branch was so much roomier and more comfortable, with no wait, that I think I’ll be coming to the Eunpyeong branch from now on 💗💗 With Bulgwangcheon right in front, it was the perfect course: ramen, then a walk.

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong on Bulgwangcheon-gil near Saejeol Station

It’s at 366 Bulgwangcheon-gil, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, and open from 11:00 to 20:30. Break time is 14:30–17:00, and last orders are at 20:00. There’s room for one or two cars beside the restaurant, and you order at a kiosk.

Exterior and parking

Follow the Bulgwangcheon path from Saejeol Station and you’ll come across Oreno Ramen! 🤍 There’s parking beside the restaurant rather than out front, so I parked and came in too. So convenient…👀

A spacious, comfortable interior that works for solo diners too

I think it may be the biggest and most comfortable ramen restaurant I’ve been to so far 😆 There are four tables for four, plus a long L-shaped bar for solo meals! We came as a pair before the evening rush, so there were plenty of seats and we took a table 🫧

Kiosk ordering and free refills

At Oreno Ramen, you order in advance at the kiosk, then hand the order slip to a staff member! The two signature dishes are Tori Paitan Ramen and Kara Paitan Ramen, the spicy version, and the rich, creamy chicken broth is the big draw here! I prefer chicken broth to tonkotsu (pork-bone broth) 💗 They used to offer extra pork belly chashu, but now they only have assorted tsukune (Japanese chicken meatballs), apparently! Order complete 📝

Each table has cold barley tea, and you can get free refills of noodles (a half or full portion), broth, steamed rice, and kimchi—just ask a staff member!

My first Kara Paitan

I always order Tori Paitan, but that day I was craving something with a little kick, so I tried Kara Paitan for the first time! The verdict: I was soooo, soooo, sooo happy with it!!!! I’m not great with spicy food, but it was a delicious, manageable level of heat ❤️🔥 It’s the clean, nutty chicken broth with just the right added spice, so if you’re getting tired of Tori Paitan, I absolutely recommend Kara 👏🏻

The tsukune that seems to be exclusive to the Eunpyeong branch. Wow, I’m so glad we added it. It was incredibly moist, tender, and bursting with juices—sooo delicious 🩵🩵🩵 The bowl already comes with plenty of noodles, but you can add more too~~~ ✨ I think guys will absolutely love this, hehe.

I loved seeing my dining companion enjoy it so much too. Hehe. There’s plenty of tender chicken in there as well. The first taste brings a rush of rich, nutty chicken-broth flavor, but it’s less heavy than you’d expect, with a wonderfully clean finish 🤍

It’s packed with chicken all the way through and unbelievably tender. It just melts away…🫧

I also loved the crunchy, bouncy texture of the wood ear mushrooms, and the soft-boiled egg was so moist and tender. Soak it in the broth and the flavor is at its best, hehe.

When we were nearly done, I debated extra noodles or steamed rice, but I was so full that I only asked for rice. Everything is free—such great value as well as great flavor. Oreno Ramen is the best…💗

Finish with rice soaked in that rich broth and you have a perfect meal! I even tipped up the bowl and cleaned it out 👀✌🏻

Rich, deep chicken broth with chewy noodles 🍜 One bite and I understood why Oreno Ramen is famous as one of Seoul’s ramen spots! ❤️🔥 Oreno Ramen’s Kara and Tori Paitan hit my taste exactly—officially one of my lifetime ramen favorites 🤍
