Anguk pizza restaurant for date nights: Low Five Anguk
In short
Low Five Anguk is a pizza and pasta restaurant a five-minute walk from Anguk Station in Jongno, Seoul. We shared half corn and half Tex-Mex taco pizza, Alfredo cream pasta, and spicy shrimp rigatoni in its plant-filled, softly lit space. Low Five Anguk is a lovely pick for a date or a friends’ get-together.

As the weather turns cooler, it feels like people are once again gathering to stroll and spend time around Seochon, Bukchon, Anguk, and other streets where Korea’s own charms meet exotic interiors. The weather was so nice that I headed out too, and I wanted to recommend a pizza spot near Anguk Station that really wins over women’s taste buds.

Low Five Anguk location and waiting

It is about a five-minute walk from Anguk Station. In this area full of Korean moments, this restaurant with the feel of a Western brunch café really caught my eye.

I thought I had arrived fairly early, but sure enough, I had to join the Catchtable waitlist. There was only one party ahead of us, but since you might still have to wait in this pleasant weather, it would be good to put in a mobile reservation beforehand!
Choosing pizza and pasta

They had us choose our menu while we waited. They said we would be seated soon, so we passed the time picking dishes with our friends. Pizza and pasta were the main offerings, and there was such a wide range of pasta. Low Five also has its own special pizzas, haha.
The corn pizza that every table orders!!! I came to Anguk for the corn pizza, haha. Low Five’s dough itself is delicious, so whatever pizza you order is already a winning choice! I think you can simply choose according to your mood that day.
An interior made for a first date

The Low Five Anguk interior has a woody feel, decorated with plants. The lighting is dim and the mood is wonderful, so I immediately felt that this was just the place for a first date. If you are wondering where to go for one, hurry over to Anguk Station!

They brought over a water bottle and plates right away. Isn’t even the water bottle atmospheric, haha? In this cool weather, you absolutely have to make the most of the mood. And because it has an open oven kitchen, it was nice to vividly see how the kitchen was cooking.

Our half-and-half pizza and pasta order
- Half corn pizza and half Tex-Mex taco pizza
- Shrimp spice rigatoni
- Alfredo cream pasta

Our food arrived. We ordered such a nicely balanced mix of colors, haha. The visuals pass the test first, right? Low Five’s food was delicious, of course, but it was also fun to look at. Every dish looked mouthwatering, so I wanted to dig in right away, haha.

Half corn pizza and half Tex-Mex taco pizza
This is Low Five’s best-selling corn pizza alongside the Tex-Mex taco pizza, whose bold sauce is the key. Since it would have been a shame to eat just one after coming all this way, we ordered it half and half. I was also so curious about the hot chili potato and pepperoni pizzas, but we chose the two we were most curious about that day!

The taco pizza comes with cilantro. If you do not like cilantro, you can ask for it on the side. I appreciated how thoughtfully they accommodated every request! The corn pizza was so delicious, with sweet corn and cheese coming together in every bite. Especially, the crust was crisp and chewy, so not one person left theirs behind, haha. If you visit Low Five, pizza is an absolute must!!

Cream pasta and spicy rigatoni
Here are the pastas. We debated lasagna or pasta, something oily or perhaps a rice dish, but we wanted those classic flavors, so we chose pasta and Low Five’s other famous dish, the shrimp spice rigatoni.

The Alfredo cream pasta grabs your attention with its thick cream sauce and one hefty piece of bacon. Cutting up the salty bacon yourself and eating it with the noodles was so rich and velvety—completely my style.
I already love rigatoni and often use it when I make pasta at home. The pasta was cooked just right, and honestly, it is not easy to build flavor with rigatoni alone, but the spicy cream and shrimp made this absolutely delicious. It had a little heat, refreshing our palates after the pizza and cream pasta, haha.

Recommended for friends’ gatherings and Anguk dates
We were swept up by the weather and atmosphere and had such a fun time with friends. The food was truly high quality, and the pizza was so delicious that every bite felt moving. With its wonderful atmosphere and reputation for pizza in Anguk, it is perfect for a first date, a friends’ gathering, or even a wedding-invitation gathering. If you are planning an Anguk Station date, I recommend Low Five.
