Anguk pizza restaurant for kimchi fried rice: Low Five Anguk

In short

Low Five Anguk is a pizza and pasta restaurant near Anguk Station in Jongno, Seoul. I ordered corn-and-taco half-and-half pizza, shrimp spicy rigatoni, and kimchi fried rice without waiting. Verdict: a casual, tasty stop before or after a Bukchon stroll.

I recently went to a spot that is super hot around Anguk for its waiting line! Looking it up, I found it was Low Five Anguk, famous for pizza and pasta 🍕🍝

Visiting Low Five Anguk

I had seen so many reviews saying there would be a wait, so I came trembling beforehand,,ㅠ But seriously, I got so lucky and walked straight in without waiting. Used up all my luck for the year ;;;🍀🍀🤞🤞 Anyway, if you like Western food? Pizza? Pasta? And you want a vibey Anguk pizza spot? Come right over.

It is really close to Anguk Station—just walk a little toward Bukchon and there it is. The location is great, so it fits perfectly into a Bukchon sightseeing route ☕️💕

What are the wait and atmosphere like?

From the outside, Low Five Anguk has the vibe of a restaurant on a foreign side street? It photographs beautifully too 📸✨

One thing to note! Even on weekdays, it gets crowded enough to form a line if you hit the wrong time. At lunch or dinner peak hours especially, showing up carefree means the start of waiting-line hell^^..

You can register on-site through Catchtable in front of the restaurant, and depending on the time, use remote waiting in the Catchtable app too, so I recommend checking ahead before you visit 📱🔥

Once inside, the space was roomy! Warm wood tones, plants, and lighting made it feel like I had come to a European restaurant 🌿✨ It was classic yet casual and atmospheric!

It would be nice for a date, and it felt relaxed enough for a small gathering too. Plants placed throughout made the interior pretty 🌿 I thought the mood would be even better in the evening. The tables were spaced nicely, and there were large tables good for groups, so it would work well for a group meal too!

There is also a self-service corner stocked with water, wet wipes, napkins, hot sauce, and grated cheese—just take what you need 🙌🏻

QR ordering and a varied menu

The ordering system was convenient too! You scan the QR code on the table, look through the menu, and order.

That made it easier to add items or get what I needed without calling a staff member over.

Ordered dishes at Low Five Anguk

Looking through the menu, I wanted to try everything: lots of pizza varieties, pasta, lasagna, salads, and even kimchi fried rice.

Corn-and-taco half-and-half pizza and sides

First up, one of Low Five's most famous dishes is the corn pizza! After much deliberation, I ordered the Corn & Taco Half-and-Half Pizza 🍕🔥 Probably the best choice haha.

And pizza alone would have felt a little sad, right? We needed a few more dishes, lightly(?) ㅋ So I added Shrimp Spicy Rigatoni and kimchi fried rice too 🍚

Then our Corn & Taco Half-and-Half Pizza arrived 🍕✨ The crust was nicely browned right to the edge and looked wonderfully chewy at a glance!

Sweet, nutty corn pizza

I tried the corn pizza first, and I loved the sweet texture of the corn popping with every bite 🌽💛

The corn's sweetness and the cheese's salty, nutty flavor woke up my palate, making me want to keep eating even when full. Maybe because it is wood-fired pizza, there was a faint fire-kissed, smoky note that made the flavor feel richer!

Spicy, savory taco pizza

Next was the taco pizza 🌮🔥 You immediately get that slightly spicy flavor unique to taco seasoning, and it is a savory, umami-rich pizza 🌶️

Spicy taco pizza toppings

The corn pizza is sweet + nutty + soft, while the taco pizza is savory + spicy + an umami explosion! I liked it even more because I chose a half-and-half with completely different personalities. If it is your first time at Low Five Anguk, I really recommend the corn-and-taco combo. So good.

Shrimp spicy rigatoni and kimchi fried rice

Next was a dish I was unexpectedly curious about! Shrimp Spicy Rigatoni 🦐 Spicy cream rigatoni with shrimp and bacon? It was already right in my mouth 🦐 haha

The meeting of thick, round pasta and shrimp is something you have to try! I even dunked the pizza crust deeply into this pasta sauce.

That is how delicious the sauce was! The shrimp was plump and tender too; I came with someone and almost ate it all myself!;; It was deliciously spicy to my taste, so it was addictive.

Last was kimchi fried rice 🍚 Honestly, when I first saw the menu, haha—this is a place selling pizza and pasta, and suddenly kimchi fried rice?! But the reviews were good, so I ordered it out of curiosity.

The conclusion: absolutely order it... ;; Rather than aggressively hot, it is stir-fried with a spicy, umami-rich flavor, and the egg blanket lying on top gently rounds out the deep flavor of the kimchi fried rice.

If you order a pizza or pasta without spice and start to feel a little rich, one bite of the kimchi fried rice wakes up Korean DNA immediately 🇰🇷🔥 And if you come with more people, I recommend adding a rice dish too.

Overall, Low Five Anguk is not overly formal and has a casual atmosphere that should suit anyone looking for great pizza near Anguk Station 💕

A Bukchon date route and ordering by group size

After eating, it is easy to take a walk around nearby Bukchon or head to a café, so planning a date route is easy too. But since it is a busy Bukchon restaurant, I recommend checking Catchtable before you go 📱 Especially on weekends, you will feel better if you go prepared to wait haha ㅜㅜ

Dishes for sharing with a group

For two people, one pizza and one pasta would already be good! For three or four people, I think ordering several dishes to share would be a much better choice! 🙌🏻
