Cheongdam Italian restaurant burrata pesto pasta: People the Terrace

Today I'm introducing People the Terrace, a spot with real European vibes and an actual terrace, located near Apgujeong Rodeo and Cheongdam. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was so satisfying that it'd honestly be a great pick for a date or an anniversary!

Where is People the Terrace, and how do parking and reservations work?

People the Terrace's address is 119-19 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's walking distance from Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 2, so getting there by public transit was easy! Parking is valet-only, with a base fee of ₩5,000, so it's good to know that before you visit.

It's such a popular place that there can be waiting, so if you want terrace seats or a specific seating area, I'd recommend booking ahead through Naver Reservation or Catch Table!!

Inside People the Terrace: 4 floors, 300 pyeong, a fountain and chandeliers

The first impression I got the moment I saw the exterior of People the Terrace was full-on European-mansion vibes, and with a whopping 4 floors and 300 pyeong, the space itself was overwhelming!

The fountain in the center blended with the chandeliers to create this luxurious atmosphere, like a European mansion or a hotel lounge! You could see a wide view of the Cheongdam streets through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and with rooftop and terrace seats too, on cool autumn nights like these the outdoor terrace seats would be the perfect spot for photos!

The interior really is spacious with high ceilings, so it never feels cramped — it's a wide, luxurious space, and you can see why so many people come here for gatherings, dates, and birthday parties. You can probably tell why it's so popular just from the photos haha!

Why you should book the terrace seats in advance

We had reserved terrace seats ahead of time and were shown to a terrace table. In this kind of weather, terrace seats are really popular, so if you're hoping for one, I'd recommend booking early!

People the Terrace menu: the three dishes we ordered for three people

The menu is fusion Italian, with a wide range of pastas, risottos, steaks and pizzas, all of which looked so good it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering burrata basil pesto pasta, mushroom cream risotto with steak, and sweet shrimp roe butter pasta!

Burrata basil pesto pasta

First, the burrata basil pesto pasta came with a whole plump burrata cheese on top — when you pop it open with a spoon, the creamy filling spills out and naturally mixes with the pasta, and with the fragrant basil pesto added in, it wasn't heavy at all, just fresh! You could really taste the strong basil aroma, balanced out by the nutty, soft flavor of the burrata, and it was one of those combinations that kept pulling my fork back!

Mushroom cream risotto with steak

Next up, the mushroom cream risotto with steak — apparently People the Terrace's signature dish, so we had to try it — and the visuals alone were something else, right? A porcini mushroom cream with plenty of sautéed mushrooms mixed in gave the risotto itself a deep mushroom flavor, and a thick Korean beef steak sat on top. Scooping up the risotto and steak together with a spoon, every single grain of rice was infused with a creamy truffle aroma, and the nuttiness spread with every bite! The steak was properly seared on the outside while staying moist and pink inside — the juicy texture really left an impression!

Sweet shrimp roe butter pasta

Last, the sweet shrimp roe butter pasta got the best reaction out of the three of us. With a butter base giving it a basic nuttiness, plus the sweet umami of the shrimp and the salty, rich flavor of the roe, every bite brought a big hit of umami! The butter sauce coated the noodles just right without leaving them greasy — the kind of taste you just keep eating. All three dishes looked great and tasted just as good, so the three of us girls were basically too busy taking photos haha.

Price range and when People the Terrace is worth it

People the Terrace's prices are definitely on the higher side compared to casual spots, so if you focus on atmosphere and quality rather than value for money, you'll come away much more satisfied! For anyone looking for a great-atmosphere spot in Apgujeong Rodeo or Cheongdam, or trying to figure out where to hold a date, birthday, or other gathering, I can confidently recommend People the Terrace! Next time I'll come with my husband on a date and try the truffle fries and cocktails too.
