In short
People the Terrace is an Italian restaurant on Dosan-daero 81-gil near Apgujeong Rodeo Station in Gangnam, Seoul, best known for its terrace seating. From a terrace table the writer ordered the burrata salad at 27,000 won, truffle potato gnocchi at 33,000 won, and the mushroom cream tartufo risotto with steak at 33,000 won; a pasta order went wrong and the salad arrived instead, but the meal was still a hit. This place is exactly what its name suggests — an Italian restaurant with a standout terrace space. It's also in a super accessible spot near Apgujeong Rodeo, so it's great for exploring the area before or after your meal. Let me walk you through everything from the space to the dishes I ordered at People the Terrace, an Apgujeong Rodeo favorite! From the taste to the photo-worthy vibe and all the charming corners of the place ❤︎

Inside People the Terrace: terrace, sofa seats, bar and party room
True to its name, the terrace space here was unmissable. It's an open-air area where plants and lighting come together naturally. Once the sun sets and the lights start coming on one by one, the atmosphere gets even warmer and more romantic, so it'd be perfect for a date or an anniversary. And it's terrace season again, right now… you've got to enjoy it while you can 🕯️

The sofa seats were also so stylish and pretty ✨ Built around plush sofas, they're arranged so you can sit back and relax, which looked great not just for a meal but for lingering over whiskey, cocktails, or wine while chatting. I think I'll sit here next time… 🤍

On one side there's also a bar area where you can really soak in the atmosphere 🪑 With the bar table and lighting working together, it felt more like a lounge bar than a typical dining spot?! Under the soft lighting it seemed like a great place to enjoy a cocktail or wine, and I bet the vibe gets even better in the evening 🍷

There's also a separate party room that's great for birthdays or anniversaries 🎉 There were actually women dressed up and celebrating birthday parties there. It was decked out gorgeously with balloons and decorations, with the table area styled nicely too, so it'd be great for a birthday party or capturing photos on a special day… book this place for your birthday and you're guaranteed a successful party… ❤︎

The fountain right in the center as you walk in! ⛲️ Everyone was taking photos there?! I had to join in too ❤︎ With the fountain at the center of the spacious hall, and seating and interior arranged naturally around it, it felt less like a restaurant purely for dining and more like a space worth exploring on its own.

Heading up to the second floor, there's a whole different atmosphere waiting 🤭 Each area is set up to feel fairly independent, so it seemed like a comfortable spot to spend time even in a larger group! Rather than feeling like a closed-off restaurant room, the space kept People the Terrace's signature upscale, distinctive interior going, which made the whole space feel quite memorable.

I sat outside to enjoy the terrace's romance… ❤︎ Each table had its own light, so even once it got dark, the soft mood never dimmed 💡
The three dishes ordered at People the Terrace
At People the Terrace we ordered the burrata salad for ₩27,000, truffle potato gnocchi for ₩33,000, and the mushroom cream risotto with steak for ₩33,000.

Ta-da… ʚ̴̶̷̆₃ʚ̴̶̷̆♡ everything we ordered arrived. Looks upscale and delicious right from the get-go! There were so many tempting items on the menu that it was hard to choose, but I picked ones that reflected my own tastes (and a bit of bias) haha. Let me introduce them one by one.

Burrata salad, 27,000 won
🌿 Burrata Salad 🌿 ₩27,000. Looks almost like a burger, doesn't it?! A salad with burrata cheese, prosciutto, tomato, and arugula. Honestly, I actually meant to order the burrata basil pesto pasta…? I only saw
Cutting into the burrata cheese and taking a bite with the vegetables, the creamy, mild richness of the cheese hits first, and then the prosciutto's salty savor deepens the flavor even more ( ˶'ᵕ'🫶🏻)💕 The tomato adds a fresh brightness, and the arugula's subtle bitterness rounds everything out beautifully.
There were so many vegetables that the knife sank in like it was cutting a big piece of meat?! I wanted to know the dressing recipe — it's been a while since I had a salad this good…✨ A great light dish to whet your appetite at the start of the meal!

Truffle potato gnocchi, 33,000 won
🥔 Truffle Potato Gnocchi 🥔 ₩33,000. Here it is, my favorite menu item… (❤︎ >︡.<︠ ) The subtle truffle aroma that wafted up the moment it arrived instantly got my appetite going.
The gnocchi had that fluffy, powdery potato texture while still being crisp-chewy to bite into — the texture was amazing. The umami was incredible… such a deep, rich, savory flavor, so good!

If you love truffle, this dish is a must… The truffle cream sauce and chewy potato gnocchi came together for an overall deep flavor, and it was even better when eaten hot, letting the aroma really shine.

Mushroom cream tartufo risotto with steak, 33,000 won
🥩 Mushroom Cream Risotto with Steak 🥩 ₩33,000. A risotto made with porcini mushroom cream and sautéed assorted mushrooms, topped with 1++ grade Korean beef steak. I thought this dish had no truffle, but truffle oil was actually drizzled on top. That bumped up the umami even more… and honestly, I loved that.
My boyfriend said it was the best risotto he's ever had?! I totally agree… ( ⸝⸝⸝ᵕ ᵕ⸝⸝⸝ ) Loaded with mushrooms, every bite brought a deep mushroom aroma and nutty richness, and the creamy sauce soaked into the rice while still carrying the sautéed mushroom flavor — completely different from a simple, plain cream risotto.

Best of all, pairing it with the Korean beef steak on top added a savory, juicy richness that deepened the whole dish. The tender risotto, mushrooms, and Korean beef came together beautifully on one plate — hearty and satisfying. With the truffle aroma layered on top, it was risotto with zero complaints… 🤍 an upscale flavor I wish everyone could try. ㅠㅠ!
Is People the Terrace worth it? Final verdict
People the Terrace in Cheongdong was a place where you could enjoy not just the food, but the space and atmosphere too. With the terrace, bar seats, sofa seats, party room, and second-floor space, there was plenty to explore, and the distinctive interior throughout made it great for photos. It seemed like a solid pick for a date, or for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or hangouts with friends 🪽🤍
