A lot of you are probably looking for a restaurant for your girlfriend's birthday or an anniversary date, so let me recommend a Cheongdam-dong restaurant that's not too pricey, photographs beautifully, and is just plain pretty — perfect for a girlfriend's birthday! Here's my review of People the Terrace, a Cheongdam dining bar with a really great atmosphere where we threw a birthday party for my (girl)friend~

Where is People the Terrace? Cheongdam-dong, near Apgujeong Rodeo Station

People the Terrace, a great restaurant in Cheongdam-dong close to Apgujeong Rodeo Station, sits down an alley off the luxury shopping street — you're greeted by a pretty storefront from the entrance.

Entrance to People the Terrace seen from the alley

On the way up you can already spot the terrace seats, which are perfect for sitting outside when the weather's cool like this, and I bet it gets even prettier once the sun goes down!! A Cheongdam-dong restaurant recommendation for sure.

Terrace seats or indoor seats at People the Terrace?

We booked a terrace table too. The tables inside are a bit low, so for eating and having wine and setting the mood, the terrace seats were the better choice.

Signature photo spot at People the Terrace

This is the signature photo spot at People the Terrace, a great Cheongdam-dong restaurant for a girlfriend's birthday and a nice-atmosphere spot for anniversaries too. The interior is spacious and really beautifully decorated, and this corner especially stood out.

There's a bar seating area too — it'd be a nice spot to come just for cocktails.

The HAPPY BIRTHDAY table: 50,000 won extra, booked in advance

There were several table areas indoors, including plenty of tables for group visits, and up a half-flight of stairs toward the back there's a table with HAPPY BIRTHDAY balloons attached — a lot of people visiting for a birthday were seated there! The HAPPY BIRTHDAY table can be booked and used for an extra fee of ₩50,000. Since this is a restaurant where the photos really turn out well, I'd recommend reserving this spot if you're looking for a birthday party restaurant!

Dessert menu page

There was a wide range of ades, juices, wines and other drinks, plus desserts. Corkage isn't available, so I'd recommend ordering a house wine by the glass to set the mood! Or a bottle order works too — we went with a glass of red wine and it was great for the atmosphere~

What the Cheongdam terrace feels like after sunset

The terrace gets even more atmospheric once it darkens..! I'd definitely recommend visiting in the evening. The photos turn out really pretty too haha

This is what the terrace tables look like. Everything we ordered, food and wine, had arrived.

How the lamb chop steak and uni pasta tasted

We ordered the lamb chop steak and the uni pasta.

A plate of lamb chop steak
Uni pasta topped with sea urchin

The uni pasta had so much sea urchin piled on top that both my friend and I, both uni lovers, were super satisfied.

Lamb chops enjoyed with red wine

The lamb chops were great too! They paired really well with the red wine. Overall, the prices weren't too steep for a Cheongdam-dong restaurant and felt pretty reasonable, and the food quality was quite good too. A Cheongdam-dong restaurant that turned out better than I expected.
