My boyfriend and I are pretty picky eaters, but this is the one Geomdan pork cutlet place we've kept coming back to over and over!! We hadn't been in a while since we've been out and about lately, and I was thinking it was about time to go back — and then something came up nearby, so we hurried over~!!!

It's really easy to get to since it's close to the station, and the big sign makes it easy to spot from a distance!!

What is the restaurant like inside?

Gyeomson Donkatsu Geomdan Branch is spacious, but the floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides keep it from feeling stuffy. It was already busy even before the weekday dinner rush!!

The restaurant is big, but with those glass walls on both sides, it feels cozy and warm rather than closed-in :)

Ordering the cheese katsu and the Western-style katsu

We ordered the cheese katsu for ₩15,000 and the Western-style katsu for ₩14,000~!!!

After we ordered, the staff brought over some cool roasted barley tea :)

Western-style katsu, 14,000 won

Made from 100% handmade fresh sirloin, this recreates the nostalgia of old-school Western-style restaurants! It even comes with a light, savory soup as a set!!

My boyfriend loves Western-style pork cutlet, and this is basically his number one pick — he says it strikes just the right balance of old-school and modern haha

Cheese katsu, 15,000 won

Packed inside the sirloin is top-grade mozzarella cheese — you get the full flavor of rich cheese and tender meat with this cheese katsu!!!

The set comes with curry, doenjang jjigae (miso soup), and rice, all with unlimited refills, so it's great for guys with big appetites too :)

Can you see how plump and chunky it looks!? The thick slice of cheese inside makes it savory and so delicious :)haha

Is Gyeomson Donkatsu worth a repeat visit?

Gyeomson Donkatsu Geomdan Branch serves generous portions of pork cutlet plus a full spread with rice, curry, and doenjang jjigae, making it the place we think of whenever we want a hearty, filling meal. We've been so many times that every single visit ends with us saying, yep, this is a real pork cutlet spot, and walking out full and happy haha

Even after not visiting for a while, it tasted just as good as before, and that made me so happy :)
