Sandwich lunch split three ways with coworkers: Dance Dance Dance

In short

Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station is a baguette sandwich shop in the basement of Grand Central, near Seoul Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Three coworkers ordered the fig pistachio baguette, chicken breast sandwich, and mushroom grilled sandwich to share, cutting each one with the knives provided — the seasonal menu ran 16,900 to 18,900 won, pricier than the rest but light thanks to a tofu cream base. One minute from Exit 4 of Seoul Station, this is a spot worth returning to for office lunches and chatting.

Baguette sandwich at Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station

Let me introduce Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station, a baguette sandwich specialist that's perfect for lunchtime girl talk near Seoul Station. I'd wanted to go since the days of the original Hannam-dong location, and I finally made it happen haha. This place is famous for having incredible baguette sandwiches.

It's located in the basement of Grand Central, right in front of this gorgeous chandelier. This was my first time coming to this building and it was really nice haha. Being in the Grand Central basement, it felt like all the Seoul Station office workers were gathered there — and since you can pre-order through Naver and take out, it was really convenient.

Three sandwiches and a knife on the table

We ordered three and split them, and they gave us a knife too, which made cutting them up easy.

Fig pistachio baguette, ₩18,900

A plate with the fig pistachio baguette

This is a new fall menu item topped with figs and fig jam on a pistachio tofu cream cheese loaded with plenty of pistachio paste! A coworker said she'd eaten it twice a week, so I was curious and ordered it lol.

I thought, isn't this just throwing every trendy ingredient in at once? But no... it was seriously delicious.

This was my first fig of the fall season, and the sweet, soft figs paired really well with the pistachio cream.

That cream especially was the magic ingredient! Since the base is tofu cream, it stayed light and wasn't overly sweet or heavy.

Chicken breast sandwich, ₩11,900

This is a protein-packed sandwich loaded with tender chicken breast tossed in Dance Dance Dance's house-made sauce — a signature menu item that lives up to its reputation. It tasted even better than I expected.

Cross-section of the chicken breast sandwich showing generous meat

There's a generous amount of meat, and the tangy-sweet sauce keeps it from getting boring. The bread itself is also just fundamentally delicious.

I'm not sure how they mixed it with the mustard, but there was this fun popping texture like flying fish roe, without any off flavors.

Mushroom grilled sandwich, ₩9,900, swapped to ciabatta

A plate with the mushroom grilled sandwich

This one combines savory, salty sauce with chewy oyster mushrooms and richly melted cheese — a familiar flavor, but so well-balanced it's addictive.

Mushroom grilled sandwich swapped to ciabatta bread

I swapped the bread for ciabatta, which was a good choice. The chewy bread stretched together with the cheese and mushrooms in a satisfying way, and since it's a hot sandwich, it paired well with the other menu items too.

Would I go back? Wrapping up a Seoul Station office lunch
