Songpa Seoul Korean BBQ set for two: Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch

My husband and I had been craving meat for the first time in ages, so I looked for a Bangi-dong Korean BBQ restaurant with a nice atmosphere where we could eat comfortably. That is how we found Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch (육몽 방이직영점). When we went, the restaurant was roomy, and not only was the meat good, but the spread of banchan (Korean side dishes) was great too, so the two of us left completely full.

It is also in a convenient spot to visit along with Seokchon Lake, so it was a good option when looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant near Seokchon Lake for a date and a meal. In particular, you can park up to four cars right in front of the restaurant, which is useful to know if you are driving.

A Spacious Interior That Was Great for Gatherings

Once we went in, the restaurant was much larger than I expected. Each table had its own space, so it felt very private! They also offer group dining and private rentals, so it looked well suited to anyone seeking a Bangi-dong company dinner venue or a meal with a larger group. High chairs were ready too, so I think it would be convenient for family meals with children.

Banchan Including Marinated Crab and Japchae

One thing I liked at Yukmong was the banchan spread! It was not just a few side dishes to eat with the meat—they even set out gejang (raw crab marinated in soy sauce) and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), so it almost rivaled a Korean set-meal restaurant..

As we had a piece of meat and paired it with a side dish here and there, there were so many combinations to enjoy with the Korean pork assorted set. When I visit a good Bangi-dong restaurant, I like a place where not only the main dish but also the accompaniments are done well, and Yukmong was satisfying right from the banchan.

The menu was clearly displayed at every table, even with photos on the kiosk, so ordering was convenient too~!

What Comes in the ₩69,900 Korean Pork Assorted Set

We ordered the ₩69,900 Korean pork assorted set. It lets you try three cuts at once—samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, and galmaegisal (pork skirt meat)—so it was great when the two of us wanted to try a bit of everything.

Rather than eating just one cut the whole time, each cut had a different texture, so we could enjoy the meat without getting tired of it.

The pork belly was nutty and moist, while the pork neck was leaner with a nice chew. Alternating with the skirt meat in between meant we could keep eating without getting tired of it right to the end.

Finishing with Doenjang Stew and Rice

You cannot skip doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) after Korean BBQ, haha. With the rich, savory stew and rice, it was seriously the kind of thing that makes you keep eating rice.

We were already quite full from the meat, but once the doenjang stew arrived, we naturally kept eating rice too. It was a nice, clean way to finish after the meat.

We visited Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch while looking for a Bangi-dong Korean BBQ restaurant with a nice atmosphere for my husband and me. With one Korean pork assorted set, we could enjoy everything from pork belly to pork neck and skirt meat, and the banchan, including marinated crab and japchae, was well prepared too.

Above all, the restaurant was spacious and could accommodate groups, so it seemed like a good choice not only for a meal for two but also for a Bangi-dong company dinner or gathering.
