Seongsu café for solo Greek yogurt and warm bagels: Lazy Yogurt
In short
Lazy Yogurt Seongsu is a Greek yogurt café in Seongdong, Seoul. I had the Marron Single with banana, dried figs, almonds, sunflower seeds, and a warm bagel. Verdict: Lazy Yogurt Seongsu is an easy, satisfying stop for a light solo meal or a terrace break.

I’m on a diet these days, and while looking for somewhere in Seongsu to eat lightly and relax on my own, I went to Lazy Yogurt Seongsu!! Seongsu has so many cafés and good places to eat that choosing can be tricky, but Greek yogurt is just right when you want something light yet filling, haha.

Inside Lazy Yogurt Seongsu and the solo-dining atmosphere
Inside Lazy Yogurt Seongsu

The interior was clean and comfortable, so it didn’t feel at all awkward to visit alone. It was a nice space for eating by yourself, taking your time over yogurt, or stopping by for a short break. When you’re spending time alone in Seongsu, finding somewhere for a solo meal can be more of a question than you’d think, but I liked how easy Lazy Yogurt was to visit alone because the menu itself is simple to enjoy.

Ordering the Marron Single and a warm bagel
An open kitchen where they make it as soon as you order? Haha. I ordered the Marron Single + bagel.

This time, I ordered the Marron Single. It comes with Greek yogurt, banana, dried figs, almonds, and sunflower seeds, so it looked delicious too. Seeing the Marron Single served in a bowl, with all kinds of toppings over the Greek yogurt, it looked quite filling enough for a meal.

Different textures from every topping
I also liked that the banana, dried figs, almonds, and sunflower seeds on top of the Greek yogurt each gave it a different texture. The plain, thick Greek yogurt got a soft sweetness from the banana, while the dried figs had a subtle sweetness the more I chewed them. The almonds and sunflower seeds added a nutty, crunchy bite, and they went really well with the yogurt.

The Marron Single would be good mixed all together, but at first I tried each topping one by one with the yogurt. The banana made it softer and sweeter, while the dried figs added a fun chewy texture. Adding the almonds and sunflower seeds brought in nuttiness and crunch, so I didn’t get tired of the bowl as I ate. Above all, having a range of toppings instead of yogurt alone made the textures feel wonderfully full.

I also ordered a bagel to have with the Greek yogurt, and they toasted it, so it was warm and crispy—totally awesome~~~~

Taking a break on the terrace on a cool day
On cool days like these, when it’s nice to spend time outdoors, I tend to look for cafés or restaurants with terraces. This place has a terrace as well as indoor seating, so it looked like a great place to visit in good weather. Next time, terrace challenge!!!

Overall
I liked that Lazy Yogurt Seongsu has a clean, comfortable interior as well as a terrace, so you can choose where to sit depending on the weather. I tried the Marron Single this time, and its Greek yogurt, banana, dried figs, almonds, and sunflower seeds let me enjoy sweetness, nuttiness, and lots of textures all at once. If you’re looking for a light meal in Seongsu or somewhere comfortable to eat alone, I think Lazy Yogurt Seongsu would be worth a stop. Especially in this cool weather, I’d also recommend sitting on the terrace and taking your time over Greek yogurt. It feels like a place I’ll think of when I want a meal that isn’t too heavy during a day out in Seongsu.
I visited in person, ordered the menu items, and wrote this review.
