Seongsu pasta and handmade gnocchi at Brivite Seongsu
In short
Brivite Seongsu is an Italian restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, serving pasta and handmade gnocchi. My sister and I lingered over salmon steak pasta and scallion cream corn gnocchi in its warm wood-toned dining room. For a Seongsu meal with atmosphere and memorable gnocchi, Brivite Seongsu is a great fit.

I visited Brivite Seongsu (브리비트 성수), which I’d love to recommend for pasta, brunch, or a first date in Seongsu 💓 My sister and I met up in Seongsu that day and decided to take our time over pasta and catch up. 🙂 I’d been curious about this place for ages because its sidewalk sign always caught my eye whenever I passed by in Seongsu.

Brivite really stands out right from the exterior. 👀 As you walk through the Seongsu alleys, its hot-pink facade comes into view, so it feels like you can spot it from afar and instantly think, “This is it!” The pink is such a lovely focal point for photos, too, making it a nice choice for a date or brunch with a friend in Seongsu. 🩵

The 100% handmade scallion cream corn gnocchi, crisp outside and chewy inside, is said to be Brivite’s signature dish, so I finally got to try it this time! ✨ Brivite has a wide range of Western-style dishes beyond pasta, including gnocchi, steak, and risotto, which is why it’s apparently a popular place for Seongsu dates and first dates.

A hot-pink exterior and warm wood-toned interior
Once you step inside, it feels quite different from the pink accent outside: overall, it’s warm and cozy. The wood tones and warm lighting made it more relaxing than I expected, and the tables were neatly arranged. Rather than being loud or hectic, it’s the kind of place where you can chat with the person beside you while you eat—perfect for having a meal and catching up with my sister, like I did haha.

Instead of requesting water and pickles at the table, you can simply help yourself at the self-service bar. I had pickles throughout the meal too—they nicely refreshed my palate between the cream sauce and pasta!

Choosing from pasta to gnocchi
There is plenty to choose from, including pasta, gnocchi, steak, and risotto, so it’s easy to pick according to your taste. The sides include salads, fried dishes, soup, and pudding, and there’s also a varied selection of drinks and non-alcoholic options, so adding a side to your main would be nice too. 👍🏻

They’re running a review event, too! If you verify a Naver receipt review or Google Maps review, you can receive one free grapefruit ade or lemon ade. Once you’ve chosen everything, just ring the bell on the table to call a staff member. 🔔

We ordered the salmon steak pasta and scallion cream corn gnocchi today. 🤍

Spicy salmon steak pasta
We also added one piece of spicy salmon steak. The plump piece of salmon arrived with the pasta, and it looked delicious from the start. The salmon was nicely browned on the outside, while the inside was moist and mildly flavored. The pasta was a little spicier than expected, which went so well with the salmon’s mild, rich flavor.

On its own, the pasta had a gently spicy kick; with a bite of salmon, its soft, mild flavor tempered the heat nicely, so the balance was good. The noodles had absorbed the sauce well, and it was even tastier with little pieces of salmon on top. 😋

Crisp-outside, chewy-inside scallion cream corn gnocchi
Scallion cream corn gnocchi 🌽 This was the dish we were most excited for! It’s Brivite’s signature scallion cream corn gnocchi. 💛 I’d kept seeing it on the sidewalk sign whenever I was in Seongsu, so I knew I had to try it this time. Brivite is truly serious about gnocchi. They say every piece is handmade from scratch, with the dough prepared by hand. That gives it its signature texture: lightly crisp on the outside and chewy inside, unlike typical gnocchi.

When you actually try it, the lightly browned exterior gives you that crisp texture first, while the inside is soft and delightfully chewy. The rich, smooth scallion cream sauce and little pops of corn added a gently sweet, nutty flavor. Once I tried it, I understood why Brivite makes gnocchi its signature dish haha!!

The food at Brivite was delicious, but the space itself was pretty and comfortable too, making it a lovely place for an unhurried meal. 😌
The hot-pink exterior is great for photos, while the warm wood tones inside create a completely different mood, so I think it would suit a date or first date really well. 💓 Above all, if you love gnocchi, I really hope you try the scallion cream corn gnocchi at least once! 🌽 If you’re looking for pasta or brunch in Seongsu, I recommend Brivite Seongsu, where you can enjoy a lovely atmosphere too :)
