Group seating for 8: what the Chungmuro dining room is like

Inside, Nagwon-ui Soba has clean table seating, and there's also group seating for several people at once ꕀ꙳ The space fits up to about 8 people, and when I visited there were actually people there for a work dinner. It seemed easy enough to visit as a group too, so it looked like a good option for a dinner party spot 🧑🧑🧒🧒🖤

The menu at Nagwon-ui Soba: soba, bossam and jang kalguksu too

Just from the name I first assumed this place only served soba, but looking at the menu, there were so many options 𓂃𓈒𓏸 Of course there's soba stuff like buckwheat noodles and cold soba, but also bossam and jang kalguksu — totally a work dinner kind of menu .ᐟ.ᐟ

It seemed great for visiting with a group and everyone ordering whatever they wanted, and now I understood why there were people there for a work dinner when I visited ⋆｡˚

Assorted jeon, 19,000 won: the fried peppers steal the plate

The assorted jeon (₩19,000) comes with fried pepper, potato pancake, and squid-kimchi pancake.

Eating it hot, it was savory and crispy ••• especially the fried pepper ,, a real gem ♥ The inside was moist and generously stuffed, so the texture was really good. You could taste the pepper's subtle spiciness along with the savory crunch of the batter, so it wasn't greasy at all — clean and light.

The potato pancake and kimchi pancake came out mini-sized too, which made them perfect for a few bites ꙳.ᐟ.ᐟ

Roe kalguksu, 13,000 won: spicy broth loaded with roe and milt

The roe kalguksu (₩13,000) came loaded with roe and milt, so the broth was spicy and rich from the first sip.

Eating the roe and milt together with the spicy broth was really filling, and it was great to eat piping hot — especially perfect as a dinner dish ~ ♥

Bone-broth perilla sujebi, 11,000 won: the pick of the meal

The bone-broth perilla sujebi (₩11,000) was my top pick that day. I'm usually not a big fan of kalguksu or sujebi, but this one was my pick .ᐟ.ᐟ

The savory bone broth combined with the nutty perilla flavor was seriously so good... The nutty, rich perilla flavor was really soaked into the broth, so as I scooped out the potato dough dumplings one by one, I ended up drinking spoonful after spoonful of the broth too ◝✩ 🤰🏻

Bossam for two, 36,000 won: far more pork than two people expect

As soon as the bossam for two (₩36,000) arrived, I was surprised at how much there was ⍤⃝ It seemed like way too much for two people .....

The pork was sliced thick, and when I tried a piece, it was tender and moist — exactly my style ꕀ Even thick, it wasn't chewy at all — soft to bite through and delicious.

And eating it wrapped with the bossam kimchi and pollock hoe (raw seasoned pollock) ,, that combo really speaks for itself ♥ ♡̴ With the kalguksu and jeon also on the table, it made for a really generous spread, perfect for sharing with a group .ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ

The menu was varied, the portions generous, the restaurant clean, and the owner kind, so overall it was a really pleasant meal ❤︎ Especially since there's group seating and I actually saw people there for a work dinner when I visited, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a spot for a dinner work party or family gathering in Chungmuro.
