Two ₩17,900 dongpo pork ramen sets in Guwol-dong, Incheon: Menya Seoul
In short
Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a ramen restaurant in the basement-level food hall of Lotte Department Store in Guwol-dong, Michuhol, Incheon. One mild dongpo pork (braised pork belly) set and one spicy dongpo pork set cost ₩17,900 each, and the writer paired them with crispy gyoza and karaage sides and a cola, choosing the topping (dongpo pork or jambon) first and the broth (mild, spicy or mala) second. With thick slabs of pork belly and a rich tonkotsu-style broth, one set at Menya Seoul was a filling meal for one adult.

Ever have one of those days when you're craving ramen but can't decide where to go? That was me, so I headed to Menya Seoul on the basement floor of Lotte Department Store Incheon — a go-to ramen spot in Guwol-dong. Spoiler: if you love dongpo pork (braised pork belly), you'll be very happy here! Let's get into the honest review :)
Where is Menya Seoul in Guwol-dong, and what are its hours?
- Address: 35 Yeonnam-ro, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, South Korea, B1F Lotte Department Store Incheon
- Hours: Daily 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Closed: Follows department store holiday schedule
The storefront: an open counter inside the Lotte food hall

Menya Seoul isn't a standalone building — it's an open-style stall inside the department store's food court. The entrance is open on all sides so there's basically no way to get lost even on your first visit, and menu models displayed out front let you see what kind of place it is from a distance.
Seating at Menya Seoul: bar counter for solo diners, long tables for two or three

Inside, Menya Seoul is neatly arranged around bar-style seating. The layout makes solo dining comfortable, and quite a few people were stopping in alone mid-shopping trip!

There are also long tables, which look great for groups of 2-3 sitting together. Each seat comes stocked with lemon, kelp, vinegar and the like, and there was a sign for a review event too!
Menya Seoul menu: how to order a topping and broth combination

So what makes this place stand out from other ramen shops in Guwol-dong?
Most ramen shops only give you one type of char siu and let you choose the broth. Menya Seoul, though, has way more combinations! You can pick your topping — dongpo pork or jambon — and your broth — mild, spicy, or mala — separately. There's also single, set, and double set options so you can order based on how hungry you are.

Here's what I ordered that day.
Mild dongpo pork set ₩17,900, spicy dongpo pork set ₩17,900
For sides I picked crispy gyoza and karaage, and cola for the drink. Ordering the set gets you a side and drink along with the ramen, which is clearly better value than ordering single items~ In short, the order of operations is: decide dongpo pork or jambon first, then pick your broth :)
What the dongpo pork ramen looks and tastes like

Visually first — this is way more substantial than what you'd picture for a single bowl of ramen.

Thick slices of dongpo pork sit on top of bean sprouts, vegetables, and ajitama (seasoned soft-boiled egg) — it grabs your attention the second it arrives!

I took one bite of the dongpo pork and just went — wow, so soft.

The fat layer was cooked through just right — press it with chopsticks and it falls apart, melting in your mouth, no exaggeration. Totally different texture from thin-sliced char siu.
Mild broth vs spicy broth: how the two bowls differ

The mild broth at Menya Seoul isn't a clear, light broth — it's tonkotsu-style. There's a deep meaty flavor holding it up, with a rich, savory finish, so even the mild version doesn't feel bland.

The spicy broth isn't a totally different broth — it's the same base with heat added. It's not tongue-numbing, just a sharp, spicy kick, so even people who don't handle spice well should be fine here~

If you want it even more fiery, you can add the chili oil sitting on the table.
The ₩17,900 set sides: crispy gyoza and karaage

The crispy gyoza lives up to its name — pan-seared crisp on the outside, and it was perfect popped in one at a time between spoonfuls of that rich broth :)

The karaage was fried to order too, crispy outside and juicy inside.
One set alone was plenty filling for an adult.
That said, the broth is on the rich side, so if you're after something light and clean, this might not be quite your style.
Is Menya Seoul in Guwol-dong worth it? Final verdict
With thick dongpo pork and a deeply meaty broth, this is definitely a filling meal. Recommended for:)
- Anyone who loves dongpo pork
- Anyone looking for a rich, hearty ramen broth
- Anyone near Incheon Terminal looking for a place to eat
- Solo diners before or after shopping
As far as ramen spots go in Guwol-dong, this one nails accessibility, parking, and menu variety, so I think I'll be back. Hope this helps if you've been searching for a ramen place in Guwol-dong :)
