I went to Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch recently and had a proper Korean meal on the basement 1st floor! The place I visited was Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch.

To cut to the conclusion — what stuck with me most that day was the bossam...🥹🤍 I think this was the best bossam I've had all year. The set meal was more substantial than I expected, and the menu itself was varied, so it's a solid spot to swing by when you want Korean food at Lotte Department Store. Let me show you piece by piece :)

Where is Hantiok in Lotte Department Store Incheon, and where do you sit?

Hantiok is on the basement 1st floor of Lotte Department Store Incheon, over by the food court. We came by car, and it was convenient since you just use the department store parking lot and come in on B1.

The food court is on the same floor too, so it wasn't hard to get there after parking. Hantiok's sign is easy to spot and it's positioned near the central food court, so even on a first visit the store wasn't hard to find :)

Right beside Hantiok there's dedicated seating for the store, so we sat there to eat.

There's also shared food court seating nearby, so during busy hours you can just check the seating situation and pick whichever is more convenient 😊

What is on Hantiok's menu, and how much does it cost?

In front of Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch, there's a menu board along with a row of food models on display.

Having food models like this makes it easier to picture the actual portion sizes rather than just reading menu names, so it made choosing easier.

Looking at the menu, there was everything from Andong guksi (noodle soup) to gukbap, hanwoo gomtang (beef bone soup), seolleongtang (ox bone soup), bibimbap, makguksu, and bossam — a lot more variety than I expected. It's a good lineup for when the people you're with want different things, like one person craving a soup dish and another wanting bibimbap or makguksu.

Ordering the bibim makguksu set, gondre bibimbap and bossam at Hantiok

I wanted both bossam and makguksu, so I went with the bibim makguksu set, and my boyfriend said he wanted something a bit fresher, so he ordered the gondre bibimbap and a bossam on the side.

Hantiok's bossam: the best boiled pork of the year

The bossam that came with Hantiok's set was a pretty generous portion. The meat wasn't sliced thin either — each piece was on the thicker side!

Tasting it, the meat was tender and soft with plenty of meat on each piece, so every bite felt satisfyingly hearty. Personally, I think this was the best bossam I've had all year...🤍 If you visit Hantiok, I'd say definitely order either the bossam set or the single bossam alongside whatever else you're having.

The bossam was delicious on its own, but it was also great paired with the other dishes we ordered. Putting a piece of bossam on the bibim makguksu along with some mu-saengchae (spicy radish salad) made for a really tasty combo, haha.

I also tried putting a piece of bossam on my boyfriend's gondre bibimbap. It went really well with the light, savory gondre bibimbap too — one piece with the makguksu, another with the bibimbap...😂 Being able to pair the bossam with everything made the combination so good.

What comes with the 20,000 won bibim makguksu set

My bibim makguksu set!

The bibim makguksu set comes with the main bibim makguksu plus various basic side dishes, along with a half portion of bossam and mu-saengchae on the side, and also tofu and mandu (dumplings). Having the mandu and tofu included as well made it fun to eat a bit of everything.

All of this for ₩20,000!

Honestly, when you think about getting makguksu, bossam, mandu, tofu, and basic side dishes all on one table, I felt like it was genuinely great value, haha.

You could choose between mul makguksu (cold noodle soup) and bibim makguksu (spicy mixed noodles) — I usually like bibim makguksu anyway, so that's what I picked that day :)

Adding a piece of bossam plus mu-saengchae gave it yet another dimension of flavor. With the mandu and tofu added in too, there was a fun sense of picking and choosing bites throughout the meal.

If you're like me and prefer eating a little bit of many things rather than just one dish, the set will suit you much better than ordering a single item.

Gondre bibimbap, 14,000 won as a single dish

My boyfriend ordered Hantiok's gondre bibimbap single (₩14,000). It came with rice mixed with gondre (thistle greens) alongside a rich gomtang to go with it.

We added a separate bossam single for ₩15,000 that day.

The gondre wasn't just sprinkled on top — it was mixed evenly throughout the rice, giving the whole bowl a green color 🌿

You mix in the soy sauce seasoning that comes with it to taste, stirring the rice and gondre together, which made it look even more appetizing, haha. The gondre's subtle aroma came through nicely, and with the soy sauce added it wasn't bland at all.

I also tried putting the tofu from my bibim makguksu set onto the gondre bibimbap :) The soft tofu with the soy-seasoned gondre rice made for a nice light, savory combination 🤍

What are the side dishes at Hantiok like?

The basic side dishes at Hantiok were all served neatly and carefully.

The jeotgal (salted seafood) and jangajji (pickled vegetables) in particular were delicious, so I enjoyed every single side dish. It wasn't just the main dishes that were good — the side dishes held up too, which made the whole meal more satisfying.

Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is on the basement 1st floor of the department store, so it was convenient to eat before or after shopping, and I also liked how varied the menu was. With guksi and gukbap to bibimbap, makguksu, and bossam, it seems like a place where people with different tastes — like my parents and me — wouldn't have trouble finding something to order. The bossam in particular was so good that next time I'm at Lotte Department Store with my parents, I want to bring them here again 😊
