Hi, I'm Cheotnunimom. After visiting Incheon's Pororo theme park, I was looking for somewhere the whole family could eat well, so this time we went to Dongchuwon Bulgogi, known as a great Incheon bulgogi restaurant. It's at 1F Dongchuwon Bulgogi, 67 Hagikso-ro, Michuhol-gu, Incheon.

What kind of restaurant is Dongchuwon Bulgogi?

Dongchuwon Bulgogi is also famous as a Hagik-dong restaurant!! It's actually won the Blue Ribbon for five consecutive years, an Incheon Blue Ribbon-listed restaurant, and it was a place where we could eat well and heartily with our child.

The toddler-friendly seats we were given

The inside of Dongchuwon Bulgogi was quite spacious and clean, and true to a Blue Ribbon restaurant, there were plenty of customers even on a weekday. Since we came with our child, we were guided to the toddler-friendly seating, and the chairs were so wide it was really comfortable to sit together with our kid. I really appreciated them thinking of these small details.

What comes with the Korean beef bulgogi set

We ordered the signature Korean beef bulgogi set, which comes with bulgogi 300g + mustard pickles + salad + basic side dishes + burger set + dessert naengmyeon (cold noodles) + omija tea.

When can you order the kids meal?

If you're the type who cares a lot about whether a restaurant has a kids menu when choosing where to eat with your child, this will be a nice point — they had a kids meal for customers with young children too. I often struggle over what to order when eating out with my kid, so knowing a kids meal is ready made me feel like I could pick without worry next time we visit with her. (*Orderable weekdays from 5pm)

They also said if you show a Naver coupon after ordering the Korean beef bulgogi, you get a grade-1 free-range egg!! We didn't get to try it, but if you visit, use the coupon and enjoy it.

Side dishes and the ₩2,000 kids meal

After waiting a bit, the table filled up — looking at the side dishes, there was a nice variety of basics that went well with the main bulgogi. Instead of just one or two simple side dishes, having several laid out together made it look even more generous.

And then the kids meal arrived — and it's only ₩2,000!!!! It came with bulgogi rice bowl and radish soup, and honestly, what a deal. The kids ate it up so well too, which made it even more comfortable and nice — the Dongchuwon Bulgogi kids meal. If you're visiting with kids, definitely order the kids meal.

Korean beef bulgogi: grill it or cook it shabu-shabu style

And now the main event of the day — the Korean beef bulgogi and vegetables. The color alone was great, a lovely pinkish-red bulgogi!!! I read up on how to eat bulgogi deliciously before trying it.

Grill with broth, vegetables, and Korean beef bulgogi

First, the staff poured in broth and set the vegetables and meat on top for us. They said the meat could be grilled on the plate or eaten like hot pot.

After waiting a bit, the Korean beef bulgogi came out cooked to perfection!!! The meat was tender, and the seasoning was clean and delicious. I get why it's a Blue Ribbon restaurant now — Dongchuwon Bulgogi in Incheon!! Felt like I'd found a true bulgogi restaurant.

The glass noodles soaked up the seasoning so well I couldn't put my chopsticks down, slurping away.

Bulgogi burger and naengmyeon to finish

If you come here, I definitely recommend also trying the bulgogi burger!!! Bulgogi, cheese, and mustard pickles in a soft roll — why is this so good. A total flavor-genius combo!!!

Since it's a set menu, dessert naengmyeon comes included, and we ordered the mul-naengmyeon (cold broth noodles).

Dessert mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles) included in the set

The combo of cool naengmyeon with delicious bulgogi is simply the best!!! Honestly, it's close by but the road was so jammed I hesitated over whether to go — and it would've been such a shame if we hadn't. That's how well we ate, this Korean beef bulgogi. Both adults and kids ate so well at this Hagik-dong, Incheon restaurant, Dongchuwon Bulgogi!!

Dessert and final thoughts on Dongchuwon Bulgogi

There's also dessert omija tea, and ice cream and coffee, so we finished on a sweet note with the kids enjoying ice cream. If you're looking for an Incheon bulgogi restaurant where you can have a hearty meal with family without any burden, like me, I think Dongchuwon Bulgogi in Hagik-dong is worth a visit. You could pair it with a stroll around Sinjang Market as part of the outing, and if you're planning a family meal or gathering in Hagik-dong, or looking for a good restaurant to visit with kids in Incheon, I recommend Dongchuwon Bulgogi.
