Gangnam restaurant for butter highballs with coworkers: Eulji Darak

Creating one happy little event a week is one of my small joys :) I was trying to cut back on drinking, so I was also going to reduce drinking plans—but there was no avoiding it at this get-together! We made lovely memories over a butter highball each at Eulji Darak Gangnam Station! This is an honest review with some meals paid for by me, so if you are deciding on a Gangnam Station venue for a wedding-invitation gathering or a date, pay attention to this Eulji Darak Gangnam post!

Eulji Darak near Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon Stations

You think this is the door, right? It is the door! This place, Eulji Darak, is so fun from the entrance onward! It is close to both Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, so it is great for Gangnam office workers to visit after work. I did a little window-shopping nearby after work too, then arrived right at 7!

Because I reserved ahead, we were shown to a table for four! The space was roomy and comfortable, making it really nice for conversation too. They are currently giving one drink free when you show proof of a Naver receipt review or Google Maps review!

What does the Darak omelet rice taste like?

As we chatted away after ordering, the Darak omelet rice arrived! It seems like a signature dish! They even cut it beautifully with a knife, and it looked so pretty afterward that I had to capture it. The soft egg, delicious sauce, and omelet-rice filling were all so good. Honestly, it is hard to make it this deliciously at home—this was proper omelet rice at Eulji Darak! Since it is a rice dish, I think boyfriends would really like it too.

Our four-person order: one menu per person

Since one menu per person is standard, we ordered four mains for the four of us! With steak, two pastas, omelet rice, and a side, it was plenty for four people, and we ate deliciously for around ₩20,000 per person!

Signature pork neck steak

Unlike at other restaurants, the steak was in the low ₩20,000s, so we could order it without feeling burdened! It was even tastier with the nicely grilled vegetables.

Darak rosé pasta and spicy cream pasta

We ordered two pasta styles and enjoyed them according to our tastes! Personally, the Darak rosé pasta was exactly my kind of dish. It was spicy and the sauce was delicious enough that I wanted to add rice and mix it all up! The flavor truly gets my stamp of approval! It is the kind of taste everyone can enjoy without much divide, so it is perfect as a gathering spot.

Truffle fries

And the truffle fries, full of truffle aroma with that sweet-and-salty flavor! This is absolutely a side dish that goes down well when you order it together! It is delicious on its own too. When there are lots of people, it is even better to chat and pick at one fry at a time!

A birthday meal with mains averaging in the high ₩10,000s

It had been a while since I met my former coworkers, and it was so fun talking about this and that and bringing up old memories! This time, I was treating my friend to a birthday meal! With mains averaging in the ₩10,000 range, it did not feel too costly. We could order much more generously than at other restaurants or pasta places too! Office workers probably have lots of dates, and I think a date at Eulji Darak Gangnam would feel less burdensome, so I highly recommend it as a good-value date spot too!

Why the butter highball was especially delicious

The truly delicious thing was the butter highball! It was packed with buttery flavor, cool and sweet, with just a slight alcoholic kick, so I think even people who are not good with alcohol could really enjoy it! The butter highball was so good that I think I will crave it again later. I want to come back with my lightweight-drinker friend! The butter highball is the real deal! Seriously! It is delicious!

There have been lots of difficult and frustrating things lately, but meeting people I love after so long, eating something delicious, and chatting away like this was healing all by itself! ♥️ Isn’t this why we work hard to earn money again? Recording this Wednesday, when it felt so good to eat well and see familiar faces after a long time! For great pasta near Gangnam Station, I recommend Eulji Darak :)
