A Korean barbecue restaurant for Sinnonhyeon Station lunches and dinner gatherings
My friend and I were hanging out in Yangjae, then ended up over at Gangnam Station to shop for clothes…🛍️ Looking for a Sinnonhyeon Korean barbecue place for dinner, we found Deo Bareun Jeongyuk Sikdang Gangnam Sinnonhyeon Station Main Branch (더바른정육식당 강남신논현역본점)! You know restaurants with names like this are always good. So of course, we went~🐽
It is on the ground floor at 482 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Weekday hours are 11:00–23:00, with a 14:00–16:00 break and last orders at 22:30; Saturday hours are 12:00–22:00, with last orders at 21:30.

Before going in, I saw how well they had their meal menu and lunch specials set up, so this would be a good lunch spot for people working near Sinnonhyeon Station too!

The meat and all kinds of alcohol you see as soon as you enter…🤤 I guess this is where they prepare everything. Every cut of meat looked such great quality.
The restaurant was much bigger than I expected, so it would work for a large Gangnam dinner team gathering too. There were also areas set up almost like separate rooms!

A wide range of drinks and Korean meat
The alcohol selection is seriously wide, right? Beef and wine… you really cannot not come here for a work dinner🍷 There are so many pork, beef, and set-menu options too!

Almost all of it was domestic Korean meat, with only a few exceptions! Of course beef and pork should be Korean…🤤 True to the name of a butcher-style restaurant, it looked like they were cutting meat right beside us too!

Staff-grilled pork neck and pork belly
We had made a reservation, so our table was already set, but there were no utensils, and I thought we would have to ask later. But they came out sanitized in water like this… I was honestly touched by that level of thoughtfulness. Even counting all the restaurants I have been to lately and ever, places like this are few and far between🥹
There were so many banchan (Korean side dishes), so you could eat the meat in lots of different ways without getting tired of it! The salad is perfect as both an appetizer and palate cleanser⭐️ Ssamjang, wasabi, and salt are set out to the side, so take as much as you need onto your plate! Only part of the plate is in the photo, but does it not already look huge? It was big, wide, and exactly the kind of plate I love…😍
There was not a huge range of soft drinks, but one thing is certain: the alcohol selection is really extensive!! Most guests are probably adults coming after work anyway, so I think everyone would love it🍺

We ordered two portions of pork neck and one portion of pork belly. The moment the meat came out, we both gasped out loud… You can see in the photos how thick and high-quality it is, right? In person, it is a truly gasp-worthy sight. Maybe because it is a butcher-style restaurant, it really is different!! Delicious things up close~😍 Some places give you meat with a really poor fat-to-lean ratio, but this place had such a good balance ㅠㅠ

They put mushrooms and sauce on the side too, and it instantly made my mouth water… For a mushroom lover, they are essential with meat. And they gave us such big pieces🍄🟫!!
On top of that, the staff grilled all the meat themselves, so we could eat while chatting comfortably. They cooked it perfectly, so it was juicy, moist, and delicious😭🩷

Maybe because they used hardwood charcoal, the meat's natural flavor was maximized and tasted even better, and the fire stayed alive right through to the end…🔥

I tried the mushrooms dipped in salt, then tried the meat in the lettuce with wasabi on top—we ate it so deliciously in all sorts of ways✨

They placed the cooked meat on a stand, so we could eat it slowly while it stayed hot without burning. I loved that!
Nurungji, doenjang-jjigae, and the post-meal facilities
We also ordered nurungji (scorched rice) and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), and we thought the nurungji would come inside the stew. But? They arrived as two separate bowls—what an amazing deal…?! The doenjang-jjigae even had loads of ingredients, making it the best companion for rice!!
They have toothpicks and Febreze available, so use them if you need to on your way out! Such a thoughtful owner✨

Deo Bareun Jeongyuk Sikdang Gangnam Sinnonhyeon Station Main Branch has received the Blue Ribbon consistently since 2023! There was a reason for it all. The staff were kind, and the meat was honestly among the most delicious I have had this year…😍

Go out through the restroom door and it connects to the commercial building; it is a restroom exclusively for Deo Bareun Jeongyuk Sikdang, so it was fairly clean too!! From the meal to these extra facilities, this was a Gangnam meat restaurant I loved in every way.
