Fajita restaurant near HUFS Station, Seoul: Eaters Mexican

I've always liked Mexican food, and this time I really wanted proper fajitas, so I headed to Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch, a well-known spot near HUFS (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies). This isn't food that just arrives plated and pretty — you pick your own meat, shrimp, chicken, toppings, and sauces and wrap it all in a tortilla yourself! Since the taste changes depending on how you build it, there's a fun little game to the whole meal.

How to find Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch from HUFS Station

As soon as you arrive, there's a menu sign right in front of the building. Sometimes I circle a whole block looking for the entrance at a new place, but here the building entrance was easy to spot. Here's the whole building — the all-glass exterior is clean and stands out more than you'd expect.

You just walk into the THE 305 building.

One thing to check here: Eaters Mexican Grill is on the 3rd floor. If it's your first visit, do what I did — check the floor directory and head straight up. The moment you get to the 3rd floor, the vibe completely changes!!

Once you're up on the 3rd floor, a big "eatus MEXICAN GRILL" logo greets you first. There's already a slightly exotic feel from the entrance, and I thought, "good menu choice today" haha.

There's a very Mexican-feeling illustration on the door too, which sets the mood before you even step inside.

And the outdoor space was a nice surprise! On a nice day, sitting out here for a meal would feel pretty great.

Inside Eaters Mexican: a spacious, calm dining room

Once inside, the seating felt nicely spread out. The plant decor and wood-toned tables worked well together — I expected a Mexican restaurant to be loud and colorful, but it was actually calm and comfortable.

The tables weren't cramped either, and there were larger tables good for groups.

Overall it looked like this! Big windows kept it from feeling stuffy — good for friends and dates, but it also seemed like a fine spot for a family meal.

How do you wrap and eat the fajitas?

On the table was a guide titled "How to enjoy Eaters Fajitas." Prep your tortilla → pile on the ingredients you want → pick a sauce to your taste → roll it up and bite! Yeah, the instructions are simple. The problem is that if you get greedy with the fillings, the tortilla won't fold shut... I'll show you that in a bit.

Choosing between the sets and the Eaters Fajita

Ordering was easy right from the table, and there were plenty of set options starting from a couple set. There's also a 3-person family set, so if you're visiting in a group, ordering a set instead of individual dishes seemed like a good idea. What caught our eye, of course, was the fajita! Alongside the signature Eaters Fajita, there's also a combo platter and quite a variety of other options.

From a shrimp-and-scallop fajita to a steak fajita, there was something for every preference, which was another plus.

Is Eaters Mexican good for visiting with kids?

There was a baby chair set up on one side. It might seem like a small thing, but when you're eating out with a kid, it matters a lot. This place seemed like a solid choice for a family visit.

The beef, chicken and shrimp fajita spread

First up, crispy taco shells! They arrive slotted into their own little stand, one by one, which was fun to look at and easy to fill one at a time. And then, a bit later...

Ohh... this is today's main event!!! A sizzling platter piled high with beef, chicken, shrimp, and grilled onions — the portion looked generous right away. That's the charm of fajitas: it's not just one protein, it's the fun of picking and choosing.

Next to the fajita platter came tortillas along with corn, cabbage, salsa, guacamole, jalapeños, and more to add on. The moment I saw it, I knew.

Today there's no right answer — just wrap whatever you like.

Laid out like this, it looks even more generous, right? With the sizzling main platter, tortillas, taco shells, and all the toppings, this wasn't just eating one dish — it was the fun of building your own combination right at the table.

Tortillas or taco shells: switching up the combinations

First, I put chicken on a soft tortilla with corn, guacamole, jalapeños, and cilantro! I kept it fairly modest at first. But once you start adding sauce, everything changes lol. You can go spicy to your taste, or add more guacamole and other toppings for something milder. It was fun how the flavor shifted slightly every time I wrapped a new one, even with the same fajita ingredients.

This gets weirdly addictive haha. "Chicken this time." "Shrimp next." "Maybe more jalapeños this round?" You just keep experimenting lol.

Cold drinks to go with the fajitas

A sip of refreshing, cold ade between bites! After eating something loaded with meat and sauce, a cold drink was the perfect match.

This time I tried the hard taco! Crispy taco shell packed with meat, toppings, and sauce felt completely different from the soft tortilla. Personally, I'd go with tortilla when I want something soft, and taco shell when I'm craving crunch — but alternating between the two was best of all.

A last look around Eaters Mexican after the meal

After finishing the meal, I noticed again how spacious and tidy the interior was overall. The spacing between tables was comfortable enough that nearby tables weren't distracting. A shelf on one side held cacti and plants that gave off a Mexican vibe — small details like that kept the space from feeling plain.

There was also a separate guide to the set menus, so it was easy to compare options for two people or larger groups before ordering.

When you want something different near HUFS

If you're in the mood for something other than an ordinary meal, Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch was a good call. The most fun part was definitely not just eating a finished dish, but choosing beef, chicken, shrimp, and various toppings and sauces to build the meal to your own taste. With so many ingredients, the meal was quite filling too, and the spacious, clean dining room made it work for dates, get-togethers with friends, and family meals alike.
