Kids menu and group seating at a Dongdaemun taco spot: Eaters Mexican
In short
Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch is a Mexican restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building 5 minutes' walk from HUFS Station (Exit 5) in Dongdaemun, Seoul. The combo platter (for 2) at 36,900 won and a mojito at 7,500 won came out generous and full of natural light, and with a kid's chair, kids menu, and group seating, it works for casual meetups or more formal gatherings alike. Finding the aesthetic Eaters!

Eaters is located on the 3rd floor of the building.

A 3rd-floor vibe that's great for gatherings
This is the storefront entrance. The wood-toned interior and lighting really add to the mood ☺️. It feels like a good spot for meeting up with seniors, professors, teachers — friends, colleagues, or more formal appointments too.
Big, wide tables and plenty of seats — group meetups were totally doable!
My beloved natural light ✨ Isn't it pretty? Even though it was still early evening, seats filled up fast. Women outnumbered men by a lot, too — I guess there's no woman alive who doesn't like tacos, haha.

There was a rooftop outside too, but it didn't seem to be open yet ㅜㅜ Once it opens, I'll have to come back and eat up there. Perfect weather for enjoying a rooftop 😆

Can you bring kids?
They've got a kid's chair and a kids menu ready, so you can absolutely bring the little ones 👍🏻

Here's the full menu.

Take a look at a few of the dishes and photos.

If you order the fajita, you get to build your own taco at the table.
Mojito ₩7,500

At first I thought it was a bit sweet, but as the ice melted it turned into a clean, refreshing lime mojito! Perfect for resetting your palate before diving into a bunch of dishes 👍🏻
Combo Platter (for 2) ₩36,900

Here's the setup for the best-selling combo platter 🫢🫢. So this is why the table had to be that big.
It's a 2-person portion, but the amount is seriously generous, right? Let me walk through each item ➰

1. Chipotle cream pasta and chicken burrito
Chipotle cream was new to me so it felt a bit unfamiliar, but this chicken burrito!! was so good (sorry I didn't get a cross-section photo ㅠㅠㅠ). The tortilla was packed with thick grilled chicken breast, onion, cheese, and rice — genuinely delicious 🤤 and honestly really filling. Highly, highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻

2. Chicken taco, carnitas taco
Wow, they were so packed that it was hard to even fit a bite in 🫢. The carnitas taco especially!! Highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻 There was just a slight hint of cilantro, but as you chew through the meat, fresh tomatoes, and vegetables, you can taste every ingredient individually, and the combination was really great 🌮. Even first-time taco eaters could enjoy this easily. I guess when chefs put a combo together, you just trust it and eat quietly, haha.
+ According to my spice-wimp friend, the chicken is a little spicy!
3. Four sauces
Tacos taste great on their own, but try pairing them with sauces to suit your taste! Do try the taco + sour cream + guacamole combo ❤️
4. Buffalo wings, cajun fries, nacho chips
Honestly I was already super full, but this dish was amazing. The buffalo wings had a familiar flavor but were chewy with just the right seasoning — really delicious. The nacho chips were thinner and crispier than the usual ones, not too salty, so eating them with sour cream was pure bliss ㅠㅠ I wanted to stock up a whole truckload of just these,,, 🥨 Confirmed: a solid HUFS-area spot! 🤍

The discount really adds up if you buy a set, so keep that in mind. I'm guessing Eaters comes from "eat + cactus," since there were cactus decorations all over the interior. Cute 🌵🌵
