Mexican restaurant near HUFS with free parking: Eaters Mexican

I've suddenly been craving tacos so much lately, so my friend and I went out for tacos 🌮

This time we visited Eaters Mexican, near Oedae-ap Station! Not just tacos but burritos, quesadillas, pasta, nachos, and fried sides too — plenty to share between two people. If you're looking for a good restaurant around Hoegi or Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), it's worth a visit, so let me introduce it :)

Where is Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch, and is there parking?

Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch is at 13 Hwigyeong-ro, 3rd floor, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, close enough to Oedae-ap Station to make it easy to reach by public transport. Just head from HUFS's main gate toward the station — it's on the 3rd floor of the building to the left of McDonald's, so it wasn't hard to find.

If you're driving, there's a parking tower you can use — diners get 1 hour free parking. After that it's ₩2,000 for the first 30 minutes and ₩700 per additional 10 minutes. If the mechanical parking is inconvenient, there's also a nearby public parking lot.

Inside Eaters Mexican: open kitchen and terrace seats

Walking into Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch, the interior was bigger than I expected, with a casual, streetwear kind of vibe. It felt like a good spot to grab a relaxed meal with a friend, but also fine for a date or a group gathering.

I especially liked the open kitchen, where you could catch glimpses of the food being made. Besides the indoor seats, there was also a terrace space that's great when the weather's nice. Perfect for enjoying these days :) A comfortable space for eating with a group of friends too.

What comes on the Eaters Combo Platter?

What we ordered that day was the Eaters Combo Platter! I'd come for tacos, but once I saw the menu, I wanted to try a bit of everything. So after some deliberation, I went with the combo platter that lets you enjoy several menu items at once :)

One platter came with so many different items that it looked hearty from the first glance! Pasta and tacos plus nacho chips, Cajun fries, buffalo wings, and more, all in one go. And it came with several sauces too, so we could dip according to our taste. Sour cream, tomato salsa, guacamole, and pickles — with that many sauces, it was fun to pick and choose.

The tacos at Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch

Since we came to a Mexican restaurant, tacos first, obviously haha. The tortilla was stuffed generously with fillings, so one bite gave you the flavor of several ingredients at once.

Adding guacamole and salsa gave it a savory, tangy boost that worked really well. Tacos are more fun when you switch up the sauces rather than just eating them as they come 🌮 I think even people new to Mexican food could enjoy this without feeling intimidated.

Surprise favourites: the pasta and chicken burrito

And the dish that impressed me more than expected was the pasta! Since it's a Mexican restaurant, I honestly didn't expect much from the pasta, but it was surprisingly good and I kept going back for more. It was creamy with a hint of spice, and it worked well eaten alongside the tacos or fried items.

And the chicken burrito on top was... no words needed, honestly. Generous portion too, so it filled us right up haha

Eating the burrito and pasta together along with the tacos, instead of just tacos on repeat, made for a nice combination.

Guacamole and nachos, Cajun fries and buffalo wings

Crunchy nacho chips are a must too. They're delicious just on their own, but dipped in guacamole or salsa, they're a whole different flavor! The guacamole's particular savory, smooth taste paired well with the nachos.

The fries and buffalo wings also came together, plenty for two people to share. The fries were crispy and salty, great as a side with the nachos. With fried sides alongside the Mexican dishes, it seemed like it would pair well with beer or drinks too.

Is Eaters Mexican worth it near Hoegi and HUFS?

I liked that Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch had such a wide range of menu options. From single dishes like tacos or burritos to platters where you can enjoy several things together, it seemed good both for a simple solo meal and for ordering a bunch of dishes to share with friends.

This time we came because my friend and I suddenly wanted tacos, and it was satisfying to be able to try tacos plus pasta, nachos, and fried items all at once. It's close to Oedae-ap Station so it's easy to get to, and the indoor space is fairly spacious, making it a good option for friend gatherings, dates, or university group get-togethers.
