They don't bring you the basic side dishes anymore — for the bread, soup, tteokbokki, udon broth, pickled radish, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), and pickles, you grab a plate at the self-bar and take as much as you like.

Just because it's from the self-bar doesn't mean it's not tasty — honestly, the quality was good enough to sell on its own. The soup and tteokbokki were kept warm, and beyond just being warm, they were genuinely delicious even as free side dishes, so I got to enjoy them well before the cutlet arrived. Since the pork cutlet is the main event, though, you'll want to pace yourself so you can finish it without leaving any behind!

How does the sweet potato cheese pork cutlet taste?

What I ordered at Tteudon in Magok today was the sweet potato cheese pork cutlet, a cheese cutlet topped with sweet potato sauce.

There was a generous layer of sweet potato mousse piled on top, and true to its name, when I cut it in half, the cheese came oozing right out!

Tteudon's sweet potato cheese pork cutlet is a rich combination of savory melted cheese and sweet sweet potato inside a crispy fried cutlet. If you love sweet potato cheese cutlets, or have never tried a sweet potato cutlet before, this is a great chance to give it a go. The cutlet portions here are also large, so I don't think you'll easily find this kind of value for money elsewhere in Magok.

If you make Tteudon's pork cutlet burger with salad, corn salad and cutlet packed in, it tastes even better — and besides the burger, you can also add strawberry jam, so grab some bread and give it a try!
