Hello~ I'm Bokdeongi, a Gwacheon office worker. The eternal office worker dilemma!!!! What should I eat for lunch today? Hahaha, am I the only one suffering with this every single day ㅠㅠㅠ Gwacheon especially feels like it has so few options..
The weather's been warming up lately, so I've been craving something hot! So I went with my team to Cheongnok Minari Restaurant (청록미나리식당), which people say is even better than Deungchon.
Cutting to the conclusion: I was seriously so satisfied... being able to eat all the farm-fresh minari (water dropwort) I wanted with unlimited refills made me feel like I properly nourished my body, haha.

Today's Delicious Record
Ordered: Minari hot pot (1 person) — ₩14,000 / Minari pancake — ₩9,000
Time for an honest review~
🏚️ Exterior & Interior
It's located in the Gwacheon Hillstate commercial building, so you just take the escalator up to the 2nd floor~

Cheongnok Minari Restaurant is tucked inside the same line where you can see a Twosome Place café~
I've put the parking info at the bottom of the post~

The menu had minari hot pot as well as mountain-high duck brisket, minari cold pork belly, and more.
Seeing the cold pork belly made my heart waver for a second haha, but I ordered what I'd originally planned — minari hot pot and minari pancake!!
Unlimited Minari, Mushroom & Cabbage Self-Serve Bar
Broth, minari, vegetables, and side dishes can all be refilled endlessly at the self-serve bar~

They even have the pricey minari!!! Vegetables are the heart of hot pot, so hats off to the owner!!!! I lost count of how many times I went back for more... hahaha

Each table also had 3 kinds of sauces perfect for pairing with the hot pot, so you could pick based on your taste haha. The vinegar-chili sauce paired surprisingly well haha
🍱 Food Taste Review

Minari Hot Pot — ₩14,000
I ordered mine with clear broth! They served it generously in one go with broth, meat, vegetables, kalguksu noodles, and even fried rice.
For the hot pot, once the broth starts boiling, you just add the minari, vegetables, and beef and cook them to eat.

After finishing the vegetables and meat, you boil kalguksu noodles in the remaining broth, and finally leave just a little broth to make fried rice or porridge!

Once the broth starts boiling, you add the meat and cook it briefly.

Meat can get tough if cooked too long, so I recommend adding just a little at a time, as much as you're about to eat.

The longer it boiled, the richer the meat and vegetable stock became, and the flavor and aroma deepened~

Ah, once I dumped in tons of minari, the broth was full of that fragrant minari smell!!
Broth that would've made me order soju immediately if it weren't lunchtime haha

Dipped in the soy-based hot pot sauce, yum hahaha. The minari eaten together is so fragrant and delicious~

Round two begins — refilling mushrooms, vegetables, and broth!!
Big eaters, gather here!!! A place that gives unlimited refills even on pricey minari — I've genuinely never seen that anywhere else in the country. I ate a ton of the expensive minari, hahaha.
Minari Pancake — ₩9,000

A minari pancake fried to a crispness that borders on deep-fried!
Crispy? nope / Crunchy-crisp? yep
The batter is barely visible — the pancake is packed dense and tight with minari.
Kalguksu and the Finishing Fried Rice, All Included
Once you finish the meat and vegetables, it's time to enjoy the kalguksu (knife-cut noodles)!

This wasn't an extra order — the kalguksu and egg porridge/fried rice are all included in the ₩14,000!!!

Even though I was pretty full already, I couldn't skip the kalguksu! The noodles had a green tint and a fragrant taste — I think there was a hint of mugwort flavor, which I loved haha.
And now, the final step! You can't leave out the porridge with hot pot haha.

You can choose porridge or fried rice~
If you choose fried rice, the kitchen cooks it for you directly. I went back and forth, but figured making porridge too would push lunch break too long, so I went with fried rice!!

The fried rice ingredients include rice, egg, seaweed flakes, and finely chopped minari~

The owner fries it up nice and fluffy~
The egg added a soft texture, and combined with the salty savoriness of the seaweed flakes and the subtle aroma of minari, it was delicious all the way to the last bite!

Cheongnok Minari Restaurant Gwacheon was a satisfying find — fragrant minari and various vegetables at a reasonable price with unlimited refills! Give it a visit whenever you're craving a clean, no-pressure hot pot meal!
Final Verdict & Who It's For
Strongly recommended for office workers looking for a hearty lunch in Gwacheon, and a great place to take parents for a gentle, healthy meal out
