Weekday Indian lunch set and tandoori chicken kids' meal: Bombay Broy

In short

Bombay Broy Songdo is an authentic Indian restaurant on the 2nd floor of a mixed-use building overlooking Songdo Central Park in Yeonsu, Incheon. The visit included chicken tikka masala with naan and a tandoori chicken kids' meal (fried rice + lassi), with weekday lunch sets starting from ₩15,400 per person. The curry's spice level was about as mild as Jin Ramen mild flavor, so it was easy to share with kids.

I like to seek out good restaurants often, but delivery menus are limited to things like Korean snack food, chicken, and pizza — dining out gives you way more variety, so I usually choose eating out over delivery whenever I can. One place I go to often is Indian curry restaurants, and today I'm introducing Bombay Broy Songdo, a spot in Songdo that lets you taste especially authentic Indian cooking.

Bombay Broy Songdo is also a great spot for the view, with Songdo Central Park right in front of you,

They do have high chairs, but Garam now insists she's too grown-up for one, haha. So we usually sit at a regular table with her, and Bombay Broy's tables have good spacing with wide chairs and tables, which makes it easy to dine as a family. Interestingly, around 6-7pm, there seemed to be more foreign residents or visitors to Songdo than Koreans — it really felt like a genuine Songdo local favorite.

Bombay Broy prices & menu: how much is the lunch set?

If you visit Bombay Broy at lunchtime, there's a lunch set that lets you eat well for around ₩10,000-something per person, great value. Lunch Set A gives you Bombay curry with naan & rice for ₩15,400 per person, and Lunch Set B gives you 3 pieces of boneless tandoori chicken plus Bombay curry with naan & rice. This is usually a weekday lunch service, with orders taken until 3pm, so I'm told.

Beyond that, there are various course meals and set meals, and you can also order à la carte on top of the set menus, so you can freely pick and choose whatever you like.

Even the curries vary a bit depending on whether they're vegetable, lamb, pork, or chicken, and the popular menu items were chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Prices range from ₩17,000 to ₩19,000. Since I usually enjoy chicken dishes, I chose chicken tikka masala for my curry without a second thought,

and picked the half tandoori chicken kids' meal. I usually only eat plain tandoori chicken, but the tandoori mix grill made up of lamb and king prawn tandoori pieces looked delicious too, along with the chicken malai kebab — overall, I felt like the authentic Indian dishes here were really diverse.

The kids' meal comes with either shrimp fried rice or vegetable fried rice plus a lassi, and I went with the safe choice of vegetable fried rice.

Trying the chicken tikka masala, naan, and kids' meal

Naan ordered to share with the kids

Curry alone is enough to finish two bowls of rice, but I ordered naan so we could all eat together with the kids. Maybe because they take after their bread-loving mom, my kids love naan too. It's delicious even on its own, and even more so with curry.

Lassi served with the kids' meal

The lassi that comes with the kids' meal. The first time I ever had Indian curry, the distinctively clean yet spicy, rich flavor really stuck with me — normally you'd pair a meal like this with soda, but lassi is the drink that always shows up with Indian food. Somehow it feels a lot healthier than regular soda.

Spicy chicken tikka masala curry

The chicken tikka masala is a bit spicy, but if you can handle Jin Ramen mild flavor, you'll be totally fine.

Table setting with curry and naan
Vegetable fried rice packed with vegetables
A bowl of freshly stir-fried fried rice

The fried rice isn't some quick pre-made thing — it's actually stir-fried to order and packed with all kinds of vegetables, so one bowl alone could fill you up. The portion was bigger than I expected, and if you order it alongside something kid-friendly like butter chicken, you'd have an even more generous spread.

Half a BBQ-style tandoori chicken

Clean-tasting yet distinctly Indian BBQ-style tandoori chicken. Oddly enough, when eating tandoori chicken, I somehow feel like lassi pairs better with it than beer does — a funny little illusion, but there it is.

Fried rice mixed together with curry

Once you get going, you really do polish off the whole bowl, mixing every last bit of curry into the rice. My kids love lamb, so next time I'll have to try the lamb curry.

Palate-cleanser candies served after the meal

After the meal is done, they bring out simple palate-cleanser candies. Overall the vibe was bright and the owner was kind, so it was a comfortable meal from start to finish.
