Yeonnam-dong restaurant for family dinner: cereal shrimp at Ttasijia
In short
Ttasijia Yeonnam is a Singaporean restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, and the first official Korean branch of Da Shi Jia (大食家), named in the Singapore Michelin Guide six years running, a 7-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 3. Four adults ordered cereal shrimp, black vinegar guobaorou (small), shrimp broth fried noodles, stir-fried morning glory and olive fried rice and ate well for under 80,000 won total, with the cereal shrimp voted the dish of the day. Corkage is free for up to two bottles of wine, so Ttasijia Yeonnam works for an evening visit too.

Today's post is about my visit to Ttasijia Yeonnam, a spot for an exotic and special food journey right in Yeonnam-dong. It's the first official Korean location of 大食家 (Da Shi Jia), selected for the Singapore Michelin Guide for six years running, so I had huge expectations going in. Atmosphere, taste, everything about this Yeonnam-dong restaurant was on point.

Parking: no dedicated lot at the restaurant (parking not possible) ❌ * Nearby alternatives include Yeonnam-4 street public parking (220m away) or Yeonnam-dong public parking, both recommended.
What is the dining room like inside Ttasijia Yeonnam?
Honestly, from the entrance alone it felt like I'd actually traveled somewhere. The moment I stepped in, the exotic interior hit me — like walking into a Singapore night market or a stylish Michelin dining spot!
The interior was so pretty and stylish that our family took tons of photos here. I'd read a bunch of reviews beforehand and found out this famous Singapore restaurant had just landed in Korea for the first time, so we came straight away.

The lighting is soft and comfortable, so it'd make a great Yeonnam-dong date spot too. It works as a filling Yeonnam-dong lunch spot by day, and transforms into a charming Yeonnam-dong bar by night. It also seems like a great venue for special gatherings like wedding invitation parties or birthdays.

A restaurant listed in the Bib Gourmand for four years running!
It's been almost 10 years since I went to Singapore, but this place gives off that Singapore feel — Southeast Asian vibes too. Hip, green, and really well-designed interior.
Ttasijia Yeonnam menu and prices for four adults

From the signature Singapore-style shrimp noodle soup and shrimp fried noodles, to a variety of hawker-bite dishes perfect for a drink at night, the menu had plenty to choose from. Here's what we ordered and how much it cost! (for 4 adults)
- Shrimp broth fried noodles: ₩16,500
- Black vinegar guobaorou (small): ₩18,000
- Cereal shrimp: ₩21,000
- Stir-fried morning glory: ₩10,000
- Olive fried rice: ₩10,000
- Fresh-pressed apple juice: ₩7,000
📌 Handy tip! If you turn on Naver notifications or write a photo review after checkout, you get a coupon for a 100% fresh-pressed apple juice! We took part in the receipt review event too and got to enjoy a cool, refreshing apple juice on the house. Apparently their apple juice is really famous, so definitely try it.

✔️Fresh-pressed apple juice (₩7,000 → free from the review event) Not artificially sweet — a crisp, refreshing taste from 100% real pressed apples! A clean finish that cuts right through the richer dishes, the best.
How the food tastes: guobaorou, shrimp fried noodles, olive fried rice, cereal shrimp and morning glory

The dishes we ordered came out one by one, and from the look to the aroma, you could really taste the authentic flavor. And the food came out way faster than I expected.
Black vinegar guobaorou, small (18,000 won)
The tangy-sweet, upscale aroma of black vinegar paired beautifully with the crispy batter. Crispy outside, juicy inside — perfect to pick at throughout the meal. It comes in two pieces, but they're bigger than expected, so it never felt like too little for four adults.

Cereal shrimp (21,000 won)
This dish came piled high with nutty, crispy cereal crumbs over plump, springy king prawns! The sweet, nutty, salty seasoning was seriously addictive — this would make an amazing beer snack too.

This was genuinely the winner — seriously, SO good!!! Highly recommend, this was our number one that day. We scraped up every last bit of cereal at the bottom. The shrimp were super plump, probably because they're in season.
Shrimp broth fried noodles (16,500 won)
Rich, deep shrimp flavor soaked into this brothy fried noodle dish. Bursting with umami, the light broth clung perfectly to the noodles. I immediately understood why Ttasijia is famous for its shrimp noodles! I don't usually like shrimp soup or shrimp noodle dishes, but I ate this happily.

Stir-fried morning glory (10,000 won)
A crunchy, still-crisp stir-fried morning glory! The right amount of saltiness and garlic aroma made it a perfect pairing with fried rice or noodle dishes. Wherever morning glory is on the menu, I basically always order it. This dish never fails.

Olive fried rice (10,000 won)
Nutty toasted rice subtly infused with the distinct flavor of olives — genuinely a special dish. Adding a bit of the morning glory or the guobaorou sauce on top made a great combo. I wasn't expecting much, but it exceeded my expectations, and for ₩10,000 the portion was generous too.

The visuals here are ridiculous. Every single dish looks amazing, and they all actually taste amazing too.

Our whole family ate SO well. It really was a satisfying meal — the kind we hadn't had in a while.

Is Ttasijia Yeonnam worth going back to?
We really scraped our plates clean... It was an incredible culinary experience that fully lived up to its title as a six-year-running Singapore Michelin pick! They pulled off authentic local flavors adapted beautifully for Korean palates, and the exotic, stylish atmosphere made the whole meal a joy.

True to the name 大食家 ("big eater"), the portions were generous and the dishes well-made — next time I want to come at night and enjoy the wine corkage or a drink alongside dinner! If you're looking for a distinctive Michelin dining spot rarely found in Yeonnam-dong, genuinely delicious shrimp noodles, or an exotic date spot, I highly recommend Ttasijia Yeonnam! ❤️
