Hongdae nail salon coffin-shape white syrup gradient: Byuazeu

Looking for a Hongdae nail salon for an autumn mood change and a nail makeover, I ended up at Byuazeu.

Where is Byuazeu, and what are its hours?

Hours: Daily 11:00–21:00

It's only a 4 to 5 minute walk from Exit 9 of Hongik University Station, so accessibility is really good. (Being so close to the station meant I could get there in one go without getting lost.)

Byuazeu: one shop for nails, lashes and skincare

Byuazeu isn't just a nail salon — it also does lashes and skincare treatments! Walking inside, the interior was so clean. The first thing that caught my eye was the display case packed with an insane amount of nail colors!!!

Nail fans know this: the more colors a shop stocks, the more likely they can nail even the tiniest custom shade you want, and that's an instant win.

There's also a waiting area on one side of the shop, so if you arrive a bit early or come with a friend, you can wait comfortably without any awkwardness.

There are drinks too, so time flies while you sip and wait!! They also thought to set up a dedicated hanger for coats or bags — such a nice touch.

The gel nail treatment space is set up for two people side by side, which looked perfect for coming back with a friend to chat while getting your nails done.

I also looked through Byuazeu's monthly art samples and honestly every single one was pretty!!!!!! From the kitschy, cute designs that are trendy right now to balletcore-style nail art, there's a wide range to choose from depending on your taste!!!

Why I chose a white syrup gradient for autumn

I'd been into flashy art designs for a while, but this time I wanted to bring out a calmer, more atmospheric vibe, so I decided on a clean white syrup gradient nail.

Before the treatment started, my nails were way too long and definitely needed a redo.

Gel removal and coffin shaping at Byuazeu

They started right away with removing the old gel, and their hands were seriously fast. It's hard to find a place that's both quick and thorough, but this shop won me over from the gel removal step alone!!!!!

I asked for a coffin shape, and as soon as I mentioned it, they matched the nail lines symmetrically and shaped them razor-sharp in one go.

There's also a separate dedicated space for pedicure care, and the skincare room is completely private and separated, which seems like the ideal environment for getting relaxed treatments!!!!!!!!!!

The color went with a gradient using the white syrup shade. The moment I saw my finished nails, I was totally in love!!!!!!

Isn't the white syrup nail gradient so elegant and full of mood!? It's clean while giving off a grown-up woman feel, so I kept staring at my own nails. With the great weather too, it really refreshed my mood.

If you're looking for a skilled, fast-handed nail salon in Hongdae, I seriously highly recommend Byuazeu. The treatment is fast but still comes out smooth and pretty, not bumpy at all + the durability is great too!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did the nails hold up at day 13?

This photo was taken 13 days after getting my nails done, and even after almost 2 weeks, it's staying really clean, the cuticles are neat, and there's no lifting anywhere!!!!! Totally recommend it as a great-value Hongdae nail spot!!!!!!!
